The feral peacock is still hanging around my property

It has been over a week now with our new visitor, a feral male peacock. When it showed up it was calling out every few minutes looking for a mate. It also had a large collection of tail feathers. Well things have changed in that aspect, now it no longer calls out and it dropped all of its long tail feathers.

Seems its more interested in eating and chilling than mating at this point. Its usual routine is come down from the tree at sunrise, walk around for a few minutes to an hour. Then go over to its favorite shade tree and chill under there until sunset. Then it makes the long walk back to its roosting tree.

It is hard to see in these few pictures, I was going to get my nice zoom camera for these shots but it started drizzling, so I did not want to risk damaging my nice DSLR.

Soon the sun will set and it will return to its roost, high up in that lopsided pine tree. There used to a tree next to it, so that is why it has that weird shape.. lol Well the peacock loves it and sleeps there every night on the one of two branches that stick out to the left side.

Is it really a wild Peacock? It's nice how it became comfortable in your area.

May be the peacock likes the ambience of your place more than mating :) Enjoy the company as long as it stays..a male would take it away one day..

I guess it is enjoying its time around here.

Hopefully I can get some more good pictures of it before it leaves.

Hah we looked into it. Would have to hatch an egg. He would be long gone by the time that female is at mating age.

How cool would it be if he found himself a female and you had a whole family of colorful birds like that at your property!

This stunning peacock chooses to rest on pine branches by night, finding solace in their height.

Indeed it does, that is a tall tree so it has lots of protection up there.

It's interesting how he's settled into a more relaxed routine, especially with shedding his impressive tail feathers. Nature's quirks are always fascinating to observe.

Its a feral peacock, so it was probably a pet at one point that escaped. We just let it roam around where ever it wants..

Oh cool..

It seems the peacock has found the most comfortable place to spend his old age. The atmosphere is also peaceful, surrounded by fresh green trees.

That's actually a story from my past, me and my buddies used to sit around and see who could make up the biggest lies when we were kids. That was mine about a friend who lived in Saegertown and had a peacock named Peter..

I am surprised that the environment is so well protected in the place where you live. There are also wild animals.
In China, you can only see it at the zoo.
Amazing environment

I live pretty far out in the woods, so lots of things just live wild here.

This is the first time seeing them myself in person, so this is all new to me.. usually we just see peacocks in zoos as well.

Hello 🌿
How are you?

Islam is the religion of all prophets.

the word Islam means total submission and obedience to God,
a single one God who has no partners nor sons.

Islam is based on principles of justice , peace, tolerance, mercy towards all our brothers in humanity.

In Islam we have a direct connection with our Creator. No mediators in between .

There is no intermediary, such as praying to, or through, others, in worshipping God.
And this what makes Islam so special and unique.

And true happiness is only found in worshipping our Creator
as it is the right of the Creator to be worshipped alone and the right of the human being to have direct connection with His Creator.
