Albino jackdaw
As the cold weather approached, many jackdaws began to gather on the edge of the forest closest to the city. There, in front of the forest, is a large, flat, grassy clearing where these birds gather in flocks.

Sometimes several flocks gather there and the noise from their voices is simply incredible.

Today I was walking alongside just such a flock. I noticed that several jackdaws seemed to be keeping to themselves, somewhat apart from the main flock.

Having looked at them closely, I noticed that all the jackdaws in this small group were albinos.

I don't know why it happened that these jackdaws have white patches on their plumage and are not recognized by the main flock, in which all the birds have only black plumage.

But unfortunately, it is immediately obvious that jackdaws with white patches on their plumage are not accepted into the main flock.

I remembered reading in the local press that a completely white jackdaw had been spotted near this place, but unfortunately it was not in this flock.

Это не альбинос, это лейкист (небольшая мутация). Альбиносы полностью белые.
Вот например синичка с лейкизмом -
Спасибо. Я привык видеть только полностью чёрных галок.
So cool. I had a blackbird with partial albinism wandering around my apartment for ages, had never seen the condition in jackdaws.
I was also very surprised, since I was used to seeing only completely black jackdaws.
