The lighting really doesn't flatter the amazing colors of this bird, a yellow-headed Amazon from the Calgary zoo. This species of parrot is the same type that can imitate human words and speech. Due to the amount that were captured for use as pets, they are now considered an endangered species in their natural habitats.
