Shenzhen's QianYan: Not Only A Bookshop | 深圳前檐: 不只书店

The Tsutaya bookstore in my last post reminds me of a similar space called QianYan in Shenzhen, China. It's designed by a female Japanese designer who designed Tsutaya Electrics.
昨天的蔦屋書店让我想起深圳的前檐，也是由日本设计师设计。池贝知子是代官山蔦屋书店的项目负责人，也设计了蔦屋家电和西安的言几又书店。
前檐在深圳湾万象城的三楼，当时开业没多久，去了几次，印象还不错。
这一文化前沿之地有两千多平米，除了书店部分，也有茶具、铜雕、珠宝等本土设计品牌区。整个区域还分散摆放着几件定制艺术品，将阅读空间和文化艺术空间相结合。当然也少不了咖啡标配，蔦屋書店有星巴克，这里有太平洋咖啡。
很喜欢那些圆弧线条的转角、沙发和灯饰，柔和了方正的图书、格子，还有咖啡馆的直线型，不至于太过僵硬。
在一排排古典的木制书架前驻足，翻翻书，很快就静下心来。同时，活动集会区也提供了交流互动的场地和设施。

I like the design, it's a very nice library. I would like to spend time here.
It's supposed to be a bookshop, but yeah, I guess it's treated as a library by many.
It looks like a very interesting place both to buy books and to go and read them.
