Exploring the Playground of Imagination Again

One day, I met up with some friends for lunch at a restaurant inside a shopping mall. After enjoying a satisfying meal, everyone went their separate ways. Since I didn't have anything important to do, I decided to enjoy some rare free time and wander around the mall. As I strolled from store to store, I eventually walked into a LEGO Store. The moment I stepped inside, it felt like entering a world filled with imagination and creativity, and before I knew it, I had spent quite a long time there.
Because of their affordability and the high population density here, scooters are extremely popular. In fact, Taiwan has the highest scooter density in Asia, with more than 13 million registered scooters across the country. They're also the main mode of transportation for me and most working people. During rush hour, Taipei Bridge is often packed with an enormous number of scooters, creating a scene that looks like a flowing waterfall. People even jokingly call it a 'sea of scooters.' To my surprise, the store had recreated this famous scene entirely out of LEGO bricks. Even more impressive, the LEGO scooter at the front of the display had a working engine feature that could play a horn sound.
The store also featured a giant Taipei 101 model, one of Taipei's most famous landmarks. Standing 325 centimeters tall and built from over 100,000 LEGO bricks, the model was equipped with special lighting effects at the top, recreating the dazzling atmosphere of the real Taipei 101 New Year's Eve light show. As I stood there examining it closely, I couldn't help but admire the patience and skill of the designers. It's amazing how tiny plastic bricks can be transformed into lifelike people, animals, buildings, and vehicles. The store also showcased several iconic Taiwanese scenes, including the Maokong Gondola and the Formosan black bear, making them perfect spots for photos.
As far as I can remember, every LEGO Store has a hands-on building area where visitors can assemble their own creations. Quite a few children were gathered around the play area, using the available bricks to build cars, buildings, and other imaginative creations. However, this was my first time seeing a Minifigure Factory. Apparently, LEGO fans can design their own minifigure torso prints and combine them with different facial expressions, hairstyles, legs, and accessories to create a truly one-of-a-kind character. I thought that was incredibly cool. The experience costs NT$449. When I finally left the store, I hadn't bought anything, but I still walked away with a very enjoyable and memorable visit.
