While they create juicy fruits
seedless
in laboratories
I wonder
who will hold the privilege
of having a garden
when all that madness
becomes the norm...

I left my verses
as seeds
in all your gardens
And though I have not embraced its trees
nor kissed their newborn flowers
I have felt the tremor of birth
when you appear in my life
as if the roots split my chest in two
the ones from the tree that bears your favourite fruit
here, where I place my hand now,
It feels warm like hope.

😊 Maybe this poem was meant as a gift from one pure soul to another… once set down, it ceases to be mine, becoming instead the possession of whoever longs to keep it and cherish it. My joy would be to see it turn into a gift from a reader to their love, though that is something I shall never discover.

oH GOSH, that's so beautiful. Seeds are such a brilliant metaphor.

I can imagine us hiding seeds and being guerilla gardeners, carrying biology in our pockets against the fakeries.
