The Symbolism and Mythology Taxus

Hey dear Hive community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my contribution and hope you had a day full of positive experiences! Today I would like to talk about the mythology of a tree and hope you can learn something new.

You can see here pictures of Taxus which is also very useful from an ecological point of view and offers a habitat for some different animal species and it offers birds some important food source and it can also be useful for bees. From a symbolic point of view, one was mostly associated with eternal life and regeneration and was often revered as a magical tree that has supernatural powers. Even with the old Celts, the Elbe was already very popular, who used the wood to make objects from it and also the leaves were important to produce elixirs. It was also often associated with grounding and due to the extremely long lifespan, which can often reach a thousand years or more, it was often regarded as guardians of the earth and there are some opinions that it could be Yggdrasil, which is also known as the worlds tree in Norse mythology. As a mystical tree, taxus is also very often regarded as a connection to other worlds which also knows the secrets of the whole of humanity and in places where it stands, it can create a kind of protective shield. It is also associated with the elements earth or air and in Greek mythology it has often been associated with the goddess of magic Hecate and in other cultures it is linked to the underworld. In Norse mythology, taxus is often associated with the god Odin and there are some legends that he once found the runes under this tree and it was also associated with the ogham alphabet which is a kind of cryptic alphabet which was also associated with the Celts and in general this tree was also often associated with secret knowledge and is full of mysticism.
