Here you can see a work of art by the painter Eugen von Kahler (1882 - 1911) which can be considered one of the most important representatives of his time and can be counted to the epoch of Expressionism. He was born as the son of an Austrian industrial family in the Czech city of Prague where he also started his career as an artist and early on he developed a passion for this topic and learned to draw and later he went to Munich to continue his passion and in addition he also decided to take private lessons and his decision was to stay in Germany and later he moved to Berlin for a few years. He also went to Paris where he visited a private art school and sought numerous inspirations from French painters and he was supported by his family in this regard and in early years he already visited his first exhibitions and already in his young years he had the misfortune of suffering from lung problems, after which he had rather withdrawn and decided to travel and visited numerous countries in which he learned much about culture that should shape his work as an artist and he visited countries such as Spain, England, Tunisia, Egypt and some more. These journeys are reflected in his works and you can see how he had oriented himself a lot towards oriental topics and at just thirty years he fell seriously ill and died and during his life he created hundreds of different paintings and received a lot of positive criticism as well as praise in artistic circles and it is a pleasure for me to be able to present one of his works.
