Hey dear Hive friends, first of all I would like to wish you all a pleasant day and hope you have a great start to the new weekend! Today I would like to bring you a mineral a little closer and hope you can expand your knowledge a little.

Here you can see two different specimens of Bavenite which are a representative of the mineral class of germanates and silicates and was first described at the beginning of the 20th century by the mineralogist Ettore Artini (1866 - 1928) who had discovered and named the mineral after the place of discovery in Italy Baveno. Depending on the specimen, the appearance of the crystals can vary and often have a needle-shaped appearance and can be different colors such as brown, red, pink or green. It is a frequently occurring mineral and there are over 200 known places of discovery worldwide and the best known are Italy, Switzerland, Sweden or Australia. From an industrial point of view, there are not many areas of application and it is particularly popular in collectors circles and sometimes it is also sold as a healing stone. As a healing stone, it should have the effect of improving the sensory organs and can have an effect on emotional blockages and improve general well-being, but as always, it should be noted here that it is alternative medicine and in case of illness you should always ask your doctor about the right medicine!
