Hey dear Hive Community, first of all I hope you all had a pleasant day which was full of positive experiences! Here I would like to introduce a mushroom a little more closely and hope you can expand your knowledge.

This mushroom that can be seen here also bears the name Trooping funnel or scientifically Infundibulicybe geotropa and it is an edible mushroom which is mainly widespread in Europe and sometimes also in America. Trooping funnel was found from July until the end of the year until November and it can be found in foliage as well as coniferous forests and preferably on calcareous soils and it can also be discovered on meadows or roadsides. If the winter is mild, you can even find it in December and usually grows in larger groups and is relatively easy to determine and the typical features include the hat which is somewhat reminiscent of a funnel and can reach a diameter of 20 cm and the meat has a cream-colored to white appearance. In the middle of the funnel you will find a nubble and the smell is slightly sweet and the stem has a similar color to the hat and is also relatively tough and elastic. The older specimens are no longer well suited for preparation because they become very tough over time and significantly lose taste and as always I would like to mention that if you are not quite sure which mushroom it is you should always leave it or ask someone for advice!

Edible mushroom are always sought for here and the market is always available because demand is more than supply. I love to eat it if it is well prepared.
