A Fun Weekend with Family and Friends

My life is constantly bustling. From Mondays to Sundays, there's always something on my plate. Each day, I rise at 5 a.m. to assist my husband as he heads to work, and the rest of my time is devoted to tending to our baby, juggling writing, and managing my airdrop responsibilities.

While it may not appear overwhelming at first glance, breaking down my daily routine will reveal the extent of my responsibilities. I find myself retiring to bed at 11 p.m., thoroughly fatigued from a day filled with work and childcare. Even on weekends, my schedule remains hectic, and outdoor activities are rare due to my husband's demanding schedule.

I was thrilled when the youth group in my church planned a beach weekend. The idea of heading to the beach filled me with excitement, as it has always been my favorite spot for a hangout, thanks to the calming waters and serene environment.

On Saturday, my family and I got ready and went to Barracuda Beach. We were the early birds, and I took the opportunity to capture some pictures with my little one. The beach was bustling with people enjoying the water and having a good time. However, my baby was a bit fussy because she is not used to loud music.

Later, the rest of the group joined us, and we indulged in delicious rice and fish peppersoup. After the meal, I took a leisurely stroll to the water, dipped my feet in, and savored the calming sensation. It was truly relaxing, and I seized the opportunity to capture the moments of others enjoying themselves in photos.

One of the youth from my church brought his kids along. I observed him patiently teaching his children how to build sandcastles. I captured a moment as he guided them through the process, with a particular focus on his daughter, who seemed more engaged than his son.

The group decided to build sandcastles, and Ben was tasked with fetching water from the beach.

While he attempted to scoop water, I occupied myself with my phone, capturing moments of his efforts. However, our plans shifted, and we opted for another game called "flip the bottle."

"Flip the bottle" is a game where participants aim to flip a bottle and land it standing, earning them a pick of meat upon success. Knowing my poor throwing skills, I opted out and watched as others lined up for their turns. A little boy joined, initially amusing everyone. However, each time it was his turn, he flawlessly flipped the bottle, surprising onlookers and delighting in grabbing a piece of meat with each successful attempt.

Following the "Flip the Bottle" game, we engaged in another called "Old and New Testament." The rules involved jumping to the right for Old Testament books and to the left for New Testament books. Teams were formed, and I decided to join in this time. I ended up participating and winning in my team.

After each team had their turn, the winners were grouped to compete against each other. In a challenging showdown, only two remained, and a $10 prize was set for the ultimate winner. I negotiated with my opponent to let me win, offering to share the money, but he insisted on battling to the end. As the intense competition unfolded, and victory seemed elusive, I eventually emerged as the winner. The thrill of winning such a prize while having a great time left me genuinely excited.

As the sun began to set, I decided to test my photography skills to capture the moment. I'm not sure how well I did, but I'll let you be the judge.

I also took some pictures of my friend, a tailor, as she was posed by the water.

Later, I opted for a horse ride, never having ridden one before. To ease my nerves, I rode with my friend Philemon. As the horse started moving, fear gripped me, imagining it heading towards the water. Thoughts of swimming and drowning flooded my mind, despite Philemon reassurances that horses fear water. Unable to contain my anxiety, I let out a scream, perplexing those around who questioned why I chose to ride if I was afraid. Eventually, the horse was stopped, and I was safely brought down. Regrettably, I only managed to capture photos of Philemon riding; I missed documenting my own brief horseback experience.

Following that, the group opted for a game called "Burst Your Neighbour's Balloon," where the objective was to safeguard your balloon from being popped. The last person with an intact balloon emerged as the winner. As it was getting dark and my baby was getting sleepy, I decided to leave the game. I needed to take her home, give her a bath, and put her to sleep.

We bid our goodbyes and left. Last weekend will linger as the best of the year, at least until another exciting activity surpasses it.

While it is obvious that you had a great fun with your loved ones at the beach, I am more amazed with your narrative skills. @zyzymena, reading your work is so adorable.

What an exciting weekend! 😍 Your daughter is absolutely adorable! It is so nice to read stories about people united through faith, like your Youth Group. I have not turned to religion since I was young, but seeing so many happy, beautiful people together reminds me of the love you feel in that community...

So cool to see the other side of the world! 😊 Your sunset photo is gorgeous... And congratulations to winning the $10 prize! Thank you for sharing!

There is definitely so much love among God's people. Spending time with them gives me a sense of peace and belonging. I don't want to ask why it's been so long you associated with religion but I do hope that someday you will trace your step back. It's really an amazing feeling and I believe you would relish it.

Thank you for the compliment about my daughter and the pictures. At last, someone noticed my photography skills 😂😂😂.

It's so nice to read from you. Thank you so much for stopping by.
