SUBLIMESUNDAY FOR THE PANTHEON // SUBLIMESUNDAY POR EL PANTEÓN...(ENG-SPN)

Hello dear friends, as it is customary for me to go out on Sundays for a walk, today I came to know another place with a lot of history in my country. This time I am at the PANTEÓN NACIONAL, located in Caracas - Venezuela.

The Pantheon is located within a group of buildings and squares all this site is called FORO LIBERTADOR, there we will find the National Library, the Plaza Foro Libertador, Omar Khayyam Monument, the JOHN BOULTON Foundation, the Teresa de la Parra House, the National Pantheon and the Press Tower, the San Carlos Barracks. This place was built in segments.

The Pantheon Square was built in 2 parts, the upper part for official and cultural events, has masts for the flags of the Bolivarian countries and the lower part has trees and vegetation with several benches for rest.

Inside the Pantheon are preserved the remains of our Liberator Simon Bolivar, and the remains of other illustrious of the nation, was built on the ruins of an old church called "Holy Trinity" this was built in 1744 and devastated by an earthquake that struck the city of Caracas in 1812.

Behind the Pantheon is a sculpture of Aceró called "ROSA ROJA DE PAITA" which measures approximately 14 meters. In honor of Manuela Saenz, sentimental companion of the LIBERTADOR.

In 2010 they began the process of restoration of the National Pantheon and construction of the mausoleum in honor of Simon Bolivar.

On weekends this place is very busy, there are several activities such as: dance therapy, and boy scout groups.

Its main entrance leads to the PANTEON boulevard or PASÉO SIMÓN BOLIVAR, which takes us to the Plaza Bolivar in Caracas.

Last but not least, our reward for the day is a delicious ice cream to finish the tour.

AHORA EN ESPAÑOL

Hola queridos amigos, como ya es costumbre para mi salir los domingos de paseo, Hoy me vine a conocer otro lugar con mucha historia en mi país. En esta ocasión me encuentro en el PANTEÓN NACIONAL, ubicado en Caracas - Venezuela.

El Panteón se encuentra dentro de un conjunto de edificaciones y plazas todo este sitio se llama FORO LIBERTADOR, allí encontraremos la Biblioteca Nacional, La Plaza Foro Libertador, Monumento Omar Khayyam, la Fundación JOHN BOULTON, la Casa Teresa de la Parra, El Panteón Nacional y La Torre Prensa, El Cuartel San Carlos. Este lugar se fue construyendo por segmentos.

La Plaza Panteón se construyo en 2 partes, la parte alta para actos oficiales y culturales, posee mástiles para las banderas de los paises bolivarianos y la baja posee árboles y vegetación con varios bancos para descanso.

Dentro del PANTEÓN se conservan los restos de nuestro Libertador SIMÓN BOLIVAR, y los restos de otros ilustres de la nación, fue construido sobre las ruinas de una antigua iglesia llamada "Santísima Trinidad" esta fue construida en 1744 y devastada por un terremoto que azotó a la ciudad de caracas en 1812.

Detrás del Panteón se encuentra una escultura de Aceró Llamada "ROSA ROJA DE PAITA" que mide unos 14 metros aproximadamente. En honor a Manuela Sáenz compañera sentimental del LIBERTADOR.

En el año 2010 iniciaron el proceso de restauración del Panteón Nacional y construcción del mausoleo en honor a Simón Bolívar.

Los fines de semana es muy concurrido este lugar, allí realizan varias actividades como: bailoterapia, y grupos de boy scouts.

Su entrada principal da con el boulevard PANTEÓN o PASÉO SIMÓN BOLIVAR, que nos lleva hasta la Plaza Bolívar de caracas.

Por ultimo pero no menos importante, nuestra recompensa del día disfrutamos de un rico helado, para terminar el recorrido.
