Exploring Northeastern Brazil – Sunset in Genipabu/RN [ENG/ESP]

Greetings, community! How are you doing? I hope you're all doing well.

Well, it's been a while since I posted about my day trip to the amazing beach of Genipabu, when I traveled to the far northeastern state of Brazil, called Rio Grande do Norte. It was an absolute blast, of course – you can check the whole post here.

Bueno, ha pasado un tiempo desde que publiqué sobre mi viaje de un día a la increíble playa de Genipabu, cuando viajé al estado más al noreste de Brasil, llamado Rio Grande do Norte. Fue una experiencia increíble, por supuesto – puedes ver el post completo aquí.

When I got back to the main beach, my plans of just relaxing on the sand and enjoying the view changed. I decided to exercise my calfs a bit and walked up the main dune. My first thought was to look for the dromedaries and maybe ride them after my climb – unfortunately, they were nowhere to be seen; maybe next time I will be lucky enough to see them.

Cuando volví a la playa principal, mis planes de relajarme en la arena y disfrutar de las vistas cambiaron. Decidí ejercitar un poco las pantorrillas y subí la duna principal. Lo primero que pensé fue en buscar a los dromedarios y quizá dar una vuelta en ellos después de la subida – pero lamentablemente no se veían por ninguna parte; quizá la próxima vez tenga la suerte de verlos.

The incredible view from the top of the dune stole my breath away – the sun was starting to set, painting the sky with yellow and orange tones, blending with the fading blue of the day, decorated with scattered clouds. While waiting for the perfect click, I went to the other side to see the view and rest a little – it's moments like this that make me rethink my sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle – because I had my legs burning from the climb. Walking on loose sand is no joke, each step felt like I was sinking back a bit.

La increíble vista desde lo alto de la duna me dejó boquiabierta – el sol empezaba a ponerse, pintando el cielo con tonos amarillos y naranjas, mezclándose con el azul desvaído del día, decorado con nubes dispersas. Mientras esperaba el clic perfecto, me acerqué al otro lado para contemplar las vistas y descansar un poco – son momentos como éste los que me hacen replantearme mi estilo de vida sedentario y poco saludable – porque tenía las piernas ardiendo por la subida. Caminar sobre arena floja no es nada fácil, cada paso era como si me estuviera hundiendo un poco.

To my surprise, I discovered a small path leading to a hidden neighborhood, but I didn't dare to go there as I can get lost easily, heh.

Para mi sorpresa, descubrí un caminito que llevaba a un barrio escondido, pero no me atreví a ir allí porque me pierdo con facilidad, jeje.
