Kto umieścił fortepian na dachu? / Who put the piano on the roof?

Lubię kiedy sztuka i design pojawiają się jako elementy miejskiego bądź wiejskiego krajobrazu. Kiedy możemy obcować ze sztuką na co dzień, a nie tylko w galerii. Dlatego też od razu polubiłam dzieła Lubo Kristka - czeskiego rzeźbiarza, malarza, performera. Właśnie za to wyjście na ulicę.

I like it when art and design appear as elements of the urban or rural landscape. When we can interact with art on a daily basis and not just in a gallery. This is why I immediately took a liking to the works of Lubo Kristek - Czech sculptor, painter and performer. Precisely for this going out into the street.

Tak naprawdę to odkryłam go bardzo przypadkowo. Jechaliśmy do małej wsi Podhradí nad Dyjí zobaczyć ruiny zamku. Po drodze minęliśmy bardzo dziwną rzeźbę. Była na tyle dziwna, że powiedziałam do B, że po obejrzeniu zamku musimy jeszcze tam wrócić i ją obejrzeć.

In fact, I discovered it very accidentally. We were driving to the small village of Podhradí nad Dyjí to see the castle ruins. On the way we passed a very strange sculpture. It was so strange that I said to B that after we had seen the castle we must still go back there and see it.

Chociaż ruiny jak ruiny, a mnie ciągle w głowie siedziała ta dziwna rzeźba... Może w dużym mieście by mnie tak nie zaciekawiła, ale intrygowało mnie skąd się wzięła w małej wsi na południu Czech.

Zaczęłam od razu sprawdzać w internecie i okazało się, że twórca, czyli Lubo Kristek, mieszka w willi po drugiej stronie ulicy (na zdjęciu powyżej). W sumie dom jak dom, ale jak podeszliśmy bliżej, to zaczęliśmy dostrzegać różne detale. Między innymi fortepian na dachu.

I immediately started checking on the internet and it turned out that the creator, Lubo Kristek, lives in the villa across the street (pictured above). All in all, a house like a house, but as we got closer, we started to notice various details. Among others, the piano on the roof.

Czuliśmy się jak odkrywcy, z każdą chwilą zauważaliśmy coraz to nowe detale, zarówno na budynku jak i w jego otoczeniu

Nie wiem czy odkryliśmy wszystkie. Myślałam, że może jeszcze we wsi będą jakieś elementy jego twórczości, ale nic nie znaleźliśmy. A szkoda, bo bardzo lubię kiedy wieś nabiera jakiegoś charakteru.

 Jak się dowiedzieliśmy artysta teraz tam mieszka i tworzy, ale dużą część swojego życia spędził na emigracji w Niemczech (30 lat). Urodził się 8 maja, a ja bardzo żałowałam, że nie 6. Aktualnie ma 82 lata. W Brnie znajduje się również jego dom z dość odjechaną, surrealistyczną elewacją. I był to jeden z punktów do zobaczenia podczas mojej wizyty w Brnie.

 As we found out, the artist now lives and works there, but he spent a large part of his life in exile in Germany (30 years). He was born on 8 May, and I very much regretted that it was not 6. He is currently 82 years old. Brno is also home to his house with a rather offbeat, surreal façade. And it was one of the points to see during my visit to Brno.

Mam nadzieję, że kolejny raz odkryłam przed Wami nieznane Czechy. Kraj, w którym już byłam tyle razy a za każdym razem odkrywam coś nowego. Czasem mam wrażenie, że czeskie wsie skrywają właśnie te najciekawsze rzeczy do zobaczenia.

I hope I have once again discovered the unknown Czech Republic for you. A country I have already been to so many times and each time I discover something new. Sometimes I feel that the Czech countryside hides precisely the most interesting things to see.
