Childhood Memories: Hawaiian Sweets
In this post I will share some childhood memories with you.
Today's post is about the Hawaiian Sweets which brought back memories as a child..... There is no person who does not know about Hawaiian sweets here in india. Everyone from small children to adults knows about it. Everyone has childhood memories of Hawaiian sweets. My childhood was spent in my village. I was born in a village in Ajpara and brought up there. Thousands of childhood memories float in front of your eyes when you close your eyes...
The story of village children eating Hawaiian sweets is a little different. City children buy and eat hawaii sweets with money, but since small village children do not have money, they buy hawaii sweets instead of old household items such as plastic bottles, broken tin jars, broken iron, then mother's hair. I had no money in my childhood. I used to collect various broken items in the house to buy Hawaiian sweets. I would wait for the man selling Hawaiian sweets to come and give them Hawaiian sweets in exchange for taking them.
I used to buy Hawaiian sweets but not eat them alone. I used to share it with all my brothers and sisters. Sometimes I used to share this favorite Hawaiian dessert with my friends. When I was a child, I used to fight a lot with my friends because even after giving them these Hawaiian sweets, they would take them away from me. Even in the midst of that quarrel there was a joy that I can feel now. Hawaiian sweets can be found every day in the city, but in the villages, it was not available at that time. Once a week these Hawaiian sweet sellers would meet. When they came to the village, they used to give this Hawaiian sweets to everyone in exchange for various things. I had to wait for a long time, then I would have the opportunity to go and eat this Hawaiian dessert. To be honest, there was a distinct joy in this.
I can't count the number of times I was scolded and beaten up by my family for eating this Hawaiian sweet in my childhood. There was enough reason behind being scolded or beaten up. The biggest reason was that sometimes, instead of giving away the old things, I would give away many new things in the house in order to eat these Hawaiian sweets. When I was a child, I used to get a little bit of Hawaiian sweets and smile on my face. One thing that was great about my childhood was that like little kids have to beg their parents for Hawaiian sweets, we didn't have to beg for these Hawaiian sweets. We used to get these Hawaiian sweets in exchange for old things. It's nice to think about it now that I wasn't dependent on anyone as a child to buy Hawaiian sweets.
