Saturday shopping.

Saturday arrived, part of the weekend when we can do many things, from relaxing at home to going out anywhere, but I went out to do some shopping, some necessary emergency purchases, as well as others.

I was going to go out on Friday, but there was a change of plans, so I left it for Saturday. It was better that way because my daughter was at home, and I wouldn't have to rush to cook because she goes to school and my son is now at the mechanic's workshop as an apprentice.

After breakfast, I went to a different bus stop than usual, where I could also take any of the bus routes. The order of things wouldn't affect my shopping.

The bus came and I left. Since route B arrived, the first place I went was Farmatodo, because my daughter had asked me to buy something for her. When I got there, I quickly found the hair cream she had asked for, paid, and went back to the bus stop. The sun was shining brightly.

When another bus came, I left. Now I was going to Paseo Orinoco, where I would buy the other things. On that route, you pass through the peripheral market area, which is always crowded. That's where you can find everything cheaper. I also come here sometimes. When you enter the extension of Paseo Orinoco and see the Orinoco River, it's impossible not to appreciate how beautiful it is. It's already quite low, and in one part, I could see the sand, and there were already people at La Cocuyera.

I stayed at the bus stop to get ready to do my shopping. Paseo Orinoco was busy with sales, as it always is, but even more so because Valentine's Day and Carnival are coming up.

The main reason I went out that day was to buy reading glasses, as my others had broken. I don't even know how many I've bought; I need to take better care of them. I went to Total, but to my disappointment, they didn't have any glasses, so I went elsewhere.

These glasses are commonly sold in other places, so I saw them in another store, went in, tried on a pair with 2.25 magnification, and bought them. I use them for everything I have to do up close, such as reading on the computer, writing, using my cell phone, and doing crafts. My brother had given me $5, and the glasses cost $2, so I had some money left over and bought a pair of sunglasses. I paid and left.

Another favor from my daughter was to buy her a plain gift bag to decorate, so I went to La Modista, a haberdashery and more. She sent me a photo of the bags, I showed it to them, they found it, I paid and left, but first I saw some stuffed animals that I would love to have one of.

The next place was about two stores away, Casa Bella, another haberdashery, but with more items. Here I bought some materials for crafts, as well as to make myself a headdress for an adult carnival party I'm going to, hehe, I have to do that next week, then I'll show you how I did it.

Since I had already done all my shopping, I went to the bus stop. It was almost noon, and taking a bus would mean arriving later, and they don't run very often.

When I got to the stop where I got on the bus, I waited in line, but luckily I didn't have to wait long. A teacher friend of mine passed by, and that's how I got home.

I gave my daughter what I had sent her to buy, and the rest was mine. I sent my brother a photo so he could see the glasses I bought.
