Greetings and blessings to this community, where I believe this is my second or third time sharing about those days that are, shall we say, out of the ordinary, different, but fun.
Yes, because after several days of heavy rain that made it impossible to go out, on Saturday, June 14, we were blessed with beautiful sunshine, so we took advantage of it and went out.
My children also went out, well, my daughter because she was going to buy a few things for herself and my son so he could get out of the house and take his mind off things, even if it was just by looking around.
After breakfast, we got dressed and left. On Saturdays, public transportation where I live is usually slow and infrequent, but the buses do run, and sometimes we have to negotiate the fare. But first, a neighbor gave us a ride to Vista Hermosa, and from there we took a bus that cost us 100 bolivars for the three of us, since the bus fare is 50 bolivars and 60 bolivars if you pay by mobile phone, plus we weren't going that far.
We arrived at Farmatodo, where they have everything. It's a place that makes you want to buy everything, but if you have enough money, the products they sell there are a bit expensive. However, they are high quality and excellent. While my daughter was looking at what she was going to buy, I was looking for a compact from my favorite brand, Mom Reve. The last one I bought had the number and name of the shade rubbed off, so it's a dilemma to see which one suits me best. so I had to open them to see the color.
When I finally chose one, I almost put it back when I saw the price, but my daughter said, “Take it, it's a gift!” I said, “Thank you, daughter.” She continued looking, and I gave my son his favorite Oreo cookies.
Once we had finished shopping, we went to the self-checkout counters, because everyone pays and gets their change themselves, but for those who don't know much about it or get confused, there are girls there to help, but my daughter has been there several times before, so she already knows how the system works.
From there, we went to the bus stop to wait for the bus to take us to Paseo Orinoco, but we did the same thing and took a cart.
The main reason for leaving was also because I was going to do a favor for my brother's sister-in-law, who also did me a favor, because she had a fan of mine, she had had it for a long time, and I needed it right away, but since she has a small child, I know what it's like to be hot with children, I let her keep it a little longer, but I needed it, so I told her I could lend it to her, and finance the purchase of one like mine because she liked it, so I went to the same place, hoping they would have it because things change and the same products don't always come in. I had bought mine last year.
We arrived at Mundo Total, which was chaotic, full of people, because they are expanding the premises and with the rains they have had leaks, but they can't close.
I asked one of the workers about the fans, and they told me where they were, that they thought there was one left or that it was the one on display, that maybe they had more in the warehouse, but it wasn't the only one left.
Thank God, it was as if it was waiting for me. I found a guy and told him I wanted the fan. He took me to the cash register to pay. Since I have Credi-Total, which is great, I paid half the cost, which was $32.99. Half is paid up front and the rest in installments, this time in two.
After paying, I went to where they would test it. This fan came with a base if you want to put it on a table, which mine didn't have, but I prefer it without the base. After testing it, the girl stamped the receipt and gave me a small warranty, which I hope won't be necessary, either now or in many years to come.
We left the store and went to see a friend who sells sugarcane juice with lemon to refresh ourselves. Our friend was happy to see us all. I hadn't seen her since November, I think. I had been to the promenade, but I hadn't passed by where she was because she used to sell at the bus stop, but they moved them to other streets.
We said goodbye and went to the bus stop.
Since we had the fan with us, we couldn't take the bus, so we paid for a taxi—well, my daughter did, using mobile payment.
We got home, and thankfully it was a great morning because it didn't rain, and I was able to get the fan and help my brother's sister-in-law, and now I have my fan back at home.
