¡Un gran saludo a toda la comunidad de worldmappin! Hoy compartiré con todos ustedes un viaje que hice hace unos meses al Estado Falcón, ciudad de Punto Fijo, en la playa Maraven. Fue por el mes de marzo de este año. Este viaje fue patrocinado por la blockchain de Hive, debido a que era una competencia. En lo personal, jamás había salido más allá que la ciudad de San Juan de los Morros; este fue mi primer viaje más lejos que he tenido. Había averiguado por Internet cuánto más o menos tardaríamos en llegar a la ciudad de Punto Fijo, era aproximadamente de 7 u 8 horas.
Greetings to the entire worldmappin community! Today I will share with you all a trip I took a few months ago to Falcón State, the city of Punto Fijo, on Maraven Beach. It was in March of this year. This trip was sponsored by the Hive blockchain, as it was a competition. Personally, I had never travelled further than the city of San Juan de los Morros; this was my first trip further afield. I had looked up online how long it would take us to get to the city of Punto Fijo, and it was approximately 7 or 8 hours.

El autobús nos estaba esperando en el centro comercial Parque Aragua, se comenzaría a arrancar a las 7 am para estar llegando a eso de las 2 o 3 pm, la llegada también iba a depender de las alcabalas y el tráfico. Estaba muy emocionado por este viaje, porque en el camino, pasaríamos por el parque Nacional Los Médanos de Coro (El desierto de Venezuela). Aquí en mi país hay un poco de todo, desde nieve hasta parecer que estamos en el Sahara.
The bus was waiting for us at the Parque Aragua shopping centre. It would leave at 7 a.m. and arrive at around 2 or 3 p.m., depending on traffic and roadblocks. I was very excited about this trip because on the way, we would pass through Los Médanos de Coro National Park (the Venezuelan desert). Here in my country, there is a bit of everything, from snow to what looks like the Sahara.

Llegamos a la ciudad de Punto Fijo a eso de las 1:20 pm. Fue un viaje largo en el cual los que estábamos en el autobús disfrutaban el paisaje, ya que también pasamos por la playa Tucacas. Nos alojamos en la posada Costa Blanca, que es un lugar muy bonito, tiene piscina, wifi, habitaciones, aire acondicionado y baños en buen estado. El lado positivo de esta posada es que está muy cerca de la playa. Dejamos nuestras cosas en la posada y fuimos a la playa. Tenía muchos años sin poder visitar la playa, puedo decir que está muy bonita. El clima en la ciudad de Punto Fijo es muy fresco. A pesar de que eran las 3 pm, no sentía que el sol me estaba quemando; al contrario, se podía disfrutar sin que te quemara tanto.
We arrived in the city of Punto Fijo at around 1:20 p.m. It was a long journey, during which those of us on the bus enjoyed the scenery, as we also passed by Tucacas beach. We stayed at the Costa Blanca inn, which is a very nice place with a swimming pool, Wi-Fi, rooms, air conditioning, and bathrooms in good condition. The positive aspect of this inn is that it is very close to the beach. We left our things at the inn and went to the beach. I had not been able to visit the beach for many years, and I can say that it is very beautiful. The climate in the city of Punto Fijo is very cool. Even though it was 3 p.m., I did not feel that the sun was burning me; on the contrary, you could enjoy it without getting too sunburnt.

El atardecer es muy increíble. Al ser un lugar costero, la noche cayó más o menos como a las 7:30 pm, es muy hermoso ver el mar junto a un atardecer. Me bañé en la playa en la noche, el agua estaba fría, estaba muy perfecta para quitarse lo cansado del viaje. A las 9 pm nos regresamos a la posada a comer pizza, el clima estaba más frío. Al día siguiente era momento de regresarnos; desayunamos en familia unas empanadas, para empezar el día; estaban muy ricas. Hablamos un rato, hasta que llegó el momento de despedirnos. Sinceramente, no quería irme, me encantó la ciudad.
The sunset is incredible. Being a coastal location, night fell at around 7:30 p.m. It is very beautiful to see the sea at sunset. I went swimming at the beach at night. The water was cold, which was perfect for washing away the fatigue of the journey. At 9 p.m., we returned to the inn to eat pizza. The weather was colder. The next day, it was time to return home. We had empanadas for breakfast with the family to start the day. They were very tasty. We talked for a while until it was time to say goodbye. Honestly, I did not want to leave. I loved the city.

El chofer nos estaba esperando, nos comentó que haría una parada en los Médanos de Coro. Fue increíble, estar en medio de la nada, disfrutando el clima, fue una experiencia que no imaginé que tendría tan rápido. Honestamente, quiero volver a la ciudad y estar en el desierto nuevamente. Fueron los mejores dos días del mes de marzo, lo recuerdo como si fuera ayer. Espero que ustedes también tengan la oportunidad de visitar esta ciudad, estoy seguro de que van a disfrutar más de lo que esperaban.
The driver was waiting for us and told us he would make a stop at the Médanos de Coro. It was incredible, being in the middle of nowhere, enjoying the weather. It was an experience I never imagined I would have so soon. Honestly, I want to go back to the city and be in the desert again. Those were the best two days of March. I remember it as if it were yesterday. I hope you also have the opportunity to visit this city. I am sure you will enjoy it more than you expected.
