¡Un gran saludo a toda la comunidad de worldmappin! Hace unas semanas, el pasado 25 hasta el 26 de octubre del 2025, tuve la oportunidad de viajar a la ciudad de Barquisimeto, Estada Lara, Venezuela. Un nuevo lugar para mí, que no había visitado a lo largo de mi vida. Mis familiares, como mi tía, hace un tiempo fueron; sin embargo, para esas fechas aún no estaba tan grande, ni siquiera pasaba de 3 años de edad jaja. En esta oportunidad, se viajó a un evento patrocinado por la blockchain de Hive, en el centro comercial sambil. El sábado por la noche comenzó el viaje vía a Barquisimeto. Estaba junto a mis compañeros, por lo tanto, no estaba solo.
A big hello to the entire worldmappin community! A few weeks ago, on 25–26 October 2025, I had the opportunity to travel to the city of Barquisimeto, Lara State, Venezuela. It was a new place for me, one I had never visited before in my life. My relatives, such as my aunt, had been there some time ago; however, at that time, I was not yet so old, not even 3 years old, haha. On this occasion, I travelled to an event sponsored by the Hive blockchain, at the Sambil shopping centre. On Saturday night, the trip to Barquisimeto began. I was with my colleagues, so I was not alone.

Salimos de la ciudad de Maracay a las 6:30 pm, algo tarde, debido a que estaba comprometido a trabajar y organizar junto al equipo. Fue un viaje lleno de risas, tenía pensado dormir un rato para que se hiciera más rápido, aunque había un compañero mío que no paraba de cambiar las músicas. Sinceramente, no sé qué había tomado o comido, pero andaba imperativo, jaja. Se llegó a la ciudad de Barquisimeto a las 10 pm, primeramente cenamos y reposamos para luego organizar todo lo necesario del evento que era al día siguiente, una competencia de calistenia. Terminamos todo el trabajo a las 5 a. m., es decir, nos desvelamos trabajando y haciendo todo lo mejor posible.
We left the city of Maracay at 6:30 p.m., a little late, because I was busy working and organising with the team. It was a trip full of laughter. I had planned to sleep for a while to make it go faster, but one of my colleagues kept changing the music. Honestly, I don't know what he had drunk or eaten, but he was on a roll, haha. We arrived in the city of Barquisimeto at 10 p.m. First, we had dinner and rested, and then we organised everything we needed for the event the next day, a calisthenics competition. We finished all the work at 5 a.m., which means we stayed up all night working and doing our best.

Luego fuimos a la posada, nos hospedamos en una llamada "Posada Guaremal". No quedó tan lejos del centro comercial, alrededor de 15 a 20 minutos caminando, pero a la hora que salimos del centro comercial no había ningún taxi para poder llegar más rápido debido al cansancio. Pero al irnos caminando, conocí más la ciudad. Realmente es un ambiente diferente, parecía que estuviéramos en Estados Unidos, porque todo es muy diferente comparado con mi ciudad. Llegamos a la posada, mientras cada uno se bañaba, apenas terminaba uno, enseguida el otro entraba para poder dormir lo más rápido posible. La posada en que estábamos para mí es muy cómoda, cada uno tenía su cama, las almohadas muy suaves y sin olvidar que había aire acondicionado, lo máximo por ese lado.
Then we went to the inn, we stayed at one called ‘Posada Guaremal’. It wasn't too far from the shopping centre, about a 15 to 20 minute walk, but when we left the shopping centre there were no taxis to get us there faster because we were tired. But as we walked, I got to know the city better. It really is a different atmosphere; it felt like we were in the United States because everything is so different compared to my city. We arrived at the inn, and while each of us took a shower, as soon as one finished, the next one went in so we could sleep as quickly as possible. The inn we stayed at was very comfortable for me. We each had our own bed, the pillows were very soft, and, not to mention, there was air conditioning, which was the best part.

Pasaron las horas y ya era momento de seguir trabajando, pero fue una mañana en que vi la diferencia total: en pleno sol se notaba lo limpias que estaban las calles. Además, un detalle que me gustó: puedo decir que quedé encantado con las mujeres de la ciudad que se arreglan de una manera increíble. Quedé impresionado. Y bueno, podrán notar mi cara de cansancio por el trabajo, pero el viaje valió la pena. Barquisimeto destaca, en muchas cosas, un detalle que sí noté: es que el taxi que vayas a pedir no todos te llevarán al sitio que tú quieres, es decir, tienen que ser por la misma ruta que ellos tienen pensado pasar, así sea que vayas al sambil, no te llevarán porque no es su ruta. En este viaje aprendí que organizar un evento de Hive, no es fácil, requiere su tiempo y dedicación. Espero volver pronto a la ciudad de Barquisimeto.
The hours passed and it was time to get back to work, but it was a morning when I saw the total difference: in the bright sunshine, you could see how clean the streets were. Also, one detail I liked: I can say that I was enchanted by the women of the city, who dress incredibly well. I was impressed. Well, you can see how tired I am from work, but the trip was worth it. Barquisimeto stands out in many ways, one detail I noticed being that not all taxis will take you where you want to go; they have to follow the same route they have planned, so even if you want to go to Sambil, they won't take you because it's not on their route. On this trip, I learned that organising a Hive event is not easy; it takes time and dedication. I hope to return to the city of Barquisimeto soon.

Greetings Zahir! It's great to see you participating in Worldmappin. This community is fantastic, and your work as an athlete has allowed you to travel more than once and discover some dreamlike places. I have a suggestion based on what I've learned here: try to focus a bit more on taking good photos of landscapes and landmarks in the cities you visit, like the facades of the hotel or shopping center where you had the event. Since it's more about traveling and sharing what we see along the way, perhaps you could share your personal photos more in a lifestyle post. I participate a lot here; you can use my blog as an example, although I'm still learning from others too 😅 I loved your experience, and I hope to see you here again soon.

Saludos Jesús! Gracias por pasear por la publicación. Anteriormente pensaba que ser atleta de calistenia no llevaría a ningún lado, las oportunidades por allá en 2020 eran nulas, la única solución era irse de Venezuela, pero tres años después, llegó Hive a mi vida.
Tomaré en cuenta esos detalles! Creo que esta es mi segunda publicación en la comunidad, haré lo mejor posible para hacer buenas fotografías de los lugares! Gracias por ayudar!
