Thoughtfuldailypost/3-Tune Tuesday - 90s, Killers, Sorrow and Joy

Music and thoughtfulness make me happy so why not combine them for #threetunetuesday? I usually post #thoughtfuldailypost (@Wesphilbin waves the @thoughtfulposts flag) on Thursdays and have incorporated music for quite a while. So, why not switch it up and join the fun on #threetunetuesday as well?
I seem to be on a bit of a 90s kick again and this one is among the most iconic pop songs of the era.

What Kills What?

So many good memes and sentiments come without author quotes and I can't seem to find the origin to tag.
I read this line by line to evaluate each individually and saw so many of my shortcomings which have hampered my ambition, growth, peace and confidence. I have always been a fan of learning from mistakes leading to wisdom and held on to my dreams so it is not so bad! Then I got to the last line.
Seeing all the bad things that can kill the good things, it is empowering to see the same good things can kill all the bad. What kind of hero has confidence, peace, growth, dreams, wisdom and ambition in bountiful supply? Looking at how each of those are choices or results of choices, we have it in our power to be these heroes if we break it down to the basics. We get to decide what kills what!
I was never much of a Gin Blossoms fan but this is some solid 90s alt rock. Just love the driving beat.

Half Sorrow and Double Joy

I am not sure you want to look up @FilledwithUrine on X or twitter or whatever. Wonder what their Hive handle is.
I have only heard the term trauma dumping recently but people being liberated in the last while to talk about their feelings and experiences, makes sense. Connection between people seem to be a little out of style in recent years which would lead people to have pent up need to share feelings. How many I know who like to say things like 'I can't people' or 'I am happier when I am alone' but they are the first ones to get excited at having a conversation and just take over with all they have to say. Just makes sense as well.
Anyhow, I love the sentiment that sharing joy is amplification and sharing trauma is a muffler. That also makes sense and is another power of human connection, en vogue or otherwise.
Sorrow is the word that pops out at me and I can't think of anything but Alice in Chains. More 90s classic with Sea of Sorrow

So happy to be combining #threetunetuesday and #thoughtfuldailypost with some thoughtfulness and music. If being thoughtful is up your alley, you have the option to delegate to @thoughfulposts to increase the rewards for positivity.

Wonderful, thoughtful post, @zekepickleman. I personally can’t get enough 90’s rock. I’m right at home in the 80’s too!
I love how you sprinkled thoughtful insights about humanity and the energy that comes from sharing different types of information. I’ve done my share of trauma dumping recently (a new term for me as well) but have made a conscious decision not to wallow in that space or indulge myself in being in that mode. I love positive energy. It’s so much more useful and gratifying!
I like to break it down that it takes more energy to love than it does to hate. Choosing to spend my energy untangling the impulse to not enjoy may take a little more constant energy but wow is it worth it! Misery loves company but connections with other people who struggle from time to time can make for some spreadable joy.
And !BEER
The music from the 90s always takes me back, it has a special place in my life :)
Same here! I love music from every decade and 90s was only 10 years ago right? ;)
30 :)
?!?!
As I read your article, I thought about my own inner journey and the consequences of my choices. Indeed, we decide what good or bad things will shape our lives. It is also very valuable to realize how sharing trauma and joy deepens human connection. Thank you for the sincerity of sharing and your perspective that creates awareness @zekepickleman
For sure. The thoughtful prompt has created a habit in me to pause and contemplate the positive of the thousands of messages put in front of me daily. Positive mental exercise and fun to share with others.
I absolutely agree! Positive thinking really allows us to see life in a healthier way. Such exercises sometimes help us notice the beauties we forget. When we share it with others, we pass that energy on them too. It's a really great habit
Fear kills... everything. actually.
"Fear is the mindkiller" -Dune
It sure can hinder much more than it can motivate! A little anxiety is natural but the ability to stop that from becoming fear in our minds is a super power.
Music is life!
Solid tune!
Good engagement. Delegated some Hive so your upvotes have a little more punch!
You rock!
Nice! And thanks for the delegation!
So good to have you back on the chain you introduced me to!
