#SublimeSunday - Fire & Ice

Sublime Sunday.jpg

Whether it be procrastination, legitimate business, or pause for dramatic effect, I have been sneaking up on getting back to posting daily. What better triumphant return than a post on our Pimp Platform for #SublimeSunday inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday initiated by @ace108. This Sunday, I am riding the wave of a week I will tell you about, but capping it off with some outdoor autumn exploration and some ice!

Fire

IMG_9438.JPG

I really should be getting out more to take shots of all the flaming maple trees and changing leaf colours as a delayed autumn has made for some vibrant colours. This tree lights up so much every year, that my front room glows red every year at this time even though it is 4 houses away.

IMG_9155.JPG

Less than a month ago, here is what the same tree looked like. Just a splash of red on the lower south side and still bravely green despite the late September date.

A few busy days means I haven't been able to take my fuzzy buddy for a run in the woods for a few days. Sunday, I have a few small things to do and have to make a trip to Dogwars as the priority.

IMG_9450.jpg

I am not the only one with this bright idea as there are 10 cars in the parking lot and at least as many dogs in the park enjoying the end of the weekend.

IMG_9440.JPG

I have been snapping pictures of Birdhouse Tree all year long watching the leaves grow and now finally start to change colours with the season. Once we get back into winter, I will have dozens of pictures from this angle I can combine into an animated gif that shows all seasons.

IMG_9448.JPG

It is the biggest tree in the back trail area and you can see the sun is starting to set a little earlier already.
 "image.png"

IMG_9446.JPG

Some nice colours on the path littered with leaves already shed by trees about to be exposed to some real frosty nights.
 "image.png"

IMG_9445.JPG

The trails in the back of the dog park are something special. Groomed enough to be easily walkable but still rustic and wild enough to feel like you are walking in the bush. Even more fun to race a long of you are a dog.

IMG_9443.JPG

Plenty of colour in the trees and the autumn as the clouds catch the light of the setting sun.

IMG_9447.JPG

The taste of the seasonal transition is pretty sweet this Sunday. The air is just a little fresher and the mosquitos have mercifully disappeared for the next few months.

image.png

IMG_9453.JPG

The Canadian Geese are circling, honking, gathering numbers and about to head to Florida to shit all over there for a season.

image.png

Ice!

IMG_9414.JPG

With so many autumn images of firey leaves, you may have forgotten about the ice. This is more of a teaser for tomorrow's story but there was indeed ice this weekend as well. I had the chance to MC the grand finale of a contest held at the arena for the local hockey team's home opener.

IMG_9385.JPG

I will not try to spoil it but we had huge stakes on the line, plenty of fun, a bit of stinkiness, and some time with the mayor for some community fun.

IMG_9369.JPG

What a Sunday it was and now you have a reason to follow and check out the next part of this cliff-hanger tomorrow!

The sun may have set on another awesome weekend but we are just getting started with what I have been up to this last busy month.

Good to be BACK!!

They are really in their prime right now and overnight frost should make for some nice views. I have to get down by the water in the daytime and get some better shots!

It's great to see you back here, man. You've taken some great pictures of fall. They are simply amazing! I recently took some fall photos too, I've already shared a few on Discord and maybe I can share a post here too.

October is not far from over.
I love that you have a dog to go on adventures with. It's important to have some fun and get some exercise, especially in the beautiful fall weather. It looks like you are looking forward to a hockey rink adventure soon. Sounds fun.

Oh yah the dog loves to go there above anything else (besides food) and I try and take him every day.

I have SO many stories and adventures saved up, including the big hockey on on the weekend. Just have to figure out a good sequence.

I enjoyed reading your post about your Sunday adventure at the dog park and the hockey arena! It sounds like you had a great time.

I especially liked the pictures of the changing leaves. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful! It's amazing how much the landscape can change in just a few weeks.

Thanks for coming on the walk with me! You may want to consider following as I am almost done taking pictures from those same spots all year long and having them walk us through 4 season should be neat.

Besides all the adventure I have on tap! ;)

Thanks for sharing a sublime Sunday with me.

Daily posting is great! When i find my rhythm it’s just smooth. Not long ago i did a month straight. I lost my routine though recently, so it’s been more a few posts a week.
Loving the autumn photos. I grew up in the foothills of the Adirondack mountains, so was feeling nostalgia. The sun laser shot was sweet!
Cheers for the Sunday share 😎

Ever since 2018, I have endeavored to just post something every day. A few pics and some insight. Upvote and engage and network. As I got into it, rhythm comes and goes but this is the beauty of it, that is alright.

I try and at least curate every day and schedules change so much with business and social and family. Just trying to stabilize and build an hour of Hive time back into the schedule every day is all it takes.

Awesome thing now is procrastination has me with a huge backlog of adventures to share over the last few months and I just need to energize my blog and network again!

With most of the leaves already on the ground here at home, the pictures in your post are a reminder that Autumn will return.
The Red Maple tree is awesome and to be able to enjoy the reflected light bouncing off its foliage, from four doors down, through your bedroom window is a bonus. Making an animated gif using the pictures of that one tree that shows all seasons sounds cool. Making GIFs is above my pay grade, but I would love to learn how to make them in the future.

It's funny seeing you on the ice without your skates on. I would imagine the chance of slipping is a lot greater while wearing shoes and not ice-skates.

Peace, brother

When I make my gif, I will post a how-to just for you. Can't be that hard and I bet there is some good AI that will match them all in a sequence for me.

It is funny on the ice as after a period when the game scratches the ice all up, there is plenty of grit. I have a post half done with more of the story but my posting evening was interrupted last night by a surprise date night to go see these guys...

Goblin MacBeth!

Man, when I lock into a daily posting rhythm again, my blog and wealth is gonna explode! ;)

Can't wait to see what you come up with making your gif, and thanks for thinking of me.

Looked into the show you were fortunate enough to attend and it sounds like it would be a lot of fun to attend. I can only imagine three goblins performing Shakespeare's Macbeth.

It's funny how posting runs hot and cold. Sometimes I get all pumped up to share with the community what has been happening and other times I find myself laboring to put out anything. Taking a break now and then has always served me well.
