So many stars!

Though I don’t expect to win the @qurator photography contest with this shot, I do love to play along. You can review and enter here https://ecency.com/qurator/@qurator/qurators-photo-quest-or-astrophotography-s11tsc Maybe some of the real photographers I know here like @daveks, @tattoodjay, @offgridlife and others will play along.

I can also use this as a return post as I have been away from the blockchain adventuring the last couple weeks adventuring. The shots in this post are special to me as this last voyage took me well off the grid where the stars seem to be the brightest. Only a phone ago, the canera wouldnt even register stars on a photo no matter how hard I try.

Seeing these little specks in the pictures brings me back to the cool night laying on the rock in the wilderness looking for one of dozens of shooting stars. I should have thought to capture some of the very apparent constellations, especially since coming to understand other parts of the world see a different angle on the night sky than up here in Canadia. Never occurred to me!

It wouldn’t be a Zeke post without a teaser of an upcoming post. This is what the same sky looked like during the day and you know i took plenty of pictures so that I could share a couple back woods camping posts.

Glad to be back with my feet on solid ground, looking forward to a few weeks of carching up, and discover a Qurator contest to welcome me back!

I AM BACK BABY!

Good to be back!

Most of my pics are in the daytime and I have saved the best for an adventure post in the next few days.

There is an app you can add to your phone align with the stars to find out what you looking at, great fun!

Good to see you back and appears you had a fine time out and about!

Yes there are a few of them and I have a couple installed. Some of the guys had their phones out to explore the constellations and it was a gift to see them so clearly in the night sky!

Something we were taught as children lying on a blanket in the back garden learning the night sky 😂 through a tiny telescope.

That teaser looks great, man. I'm looking forward to that post. I guess you've been really busy lately, you haven't been posting much. Welcome back!

Yah I take the time to adventure and be happy with the drawback of not getting to post too much. Good thing I can share after the fact and I have a whole lot of catching up to do the rest of the month.

So stay tuned for the full stories!

Nice to have you back
cool shots of the stars I love places with little man made light and the stars seem so clear, but that said its been ages since I took any star shots

I seldom if ever enter contests but maybe I should keep on an eye onthe Qurator ones and enter sometime

Ya I hooked up with the @qurator crew years ago as a great group of builders. I need to make the time to get back into contributing to more than just the contests but they keep chugging along.

I have so many better nature shots and was really just testing to see how well the sky view would translate into photos. Makes me want to get back into SLR!

your post actually inspired me ot try and get a shot of the stars this morning, but I zigged when I should have zagged and by the time i got to the spot I was thinking would be good it wes later than I hoped, and in fact wasnt a good spot more man made lights than I expected so ended up not getting any today

maybe another day

How beautiful to be able to contemplate the stars in full, far away from light pollution. I have seen the best starry nights camping on the beach, I hope to be able to camp in the mountains and compare. Sometimes it's good to get away from it all.

It is a gift indeed. One of our crew actually mentioned how privileged we were to be able to visit this place through 3 hours of driving and another 3 of paddling. In the big city, you cannot see these stars much because of the light pollution. In the middle of Algonquin Park, there is very little and we drank it all in for hours.

I will have better views and stories about the adventure in the coming days you might enjoy.

Get to the mountains and post for us to share!

Yes, they were very privileged indeed. Sure, I'll keep an eye out for the next adventures to get inspiration for my own 😊.

Jealous, I can't get good shots of the stars, but I do try. You see any meteors sailing through the sky while you are remembering to look up?

Yah man. I saw at least 20 shooting stars in the hour so it must have been a meteor shower. Seemed to be coming from all different angles though so maybe perishing satellites? ;)
