And that is how new adventures arise once you open your mind to live with quality and consciousness. In this opportunity I want to share this experience of what a trip asking for cola or hitchhiking as it is known in other places, which is nothing more than asking for a ride to move between different locations until you reach your destination.

Desde que hice conciencia de que ese breve tránsito es lo que llamamos vida, he tratado de llenarme de momentos inolvidables que me llenen el alma y muchas fotografías para poder recordarlos con frecuencia.
Y es así como te van surgiendo nuevas aventuras una vez que abres la mente a vivir con calidad y consciencia. En esta oportunidad deseo compartir esta experiencia de lo que un viaje pidiendo cola o a dedo como se le conoce en otros lugares, que no es más que pedir aventón para irte desplazando entre diferentes localidades hasta llegar a tu destino.

This adventure begins at the moment that I meet with 3 more companions, 2 boys: Jonás and Kanuto, and a girl: Randimar, we came from participating in a meeting of several days in Caripe, Monagas state in a cinematographic camping, where we were in an intensive learning about the magic of cinema in its different areas of creation, once this experience was over we all started to head towards our destinations. The 4 of us who got together had the closest destinations, so we decided to leave together, it was a Sunday and we had already been warned that transportation was very difficult, especially because we had many transfers.

Estoy muy clara que si hubiese estado sola no me atrevo a vivir esta experiencia. Esta aventura inicia en el momento que me encuentro con 3 compañeros más, 2 chicos: Jonás y Kanuto, y una chica: Randimar, nosotros veníamos de participar en un encuentro de varios días en Caripe, estado Monagas en una acampada cinematográfica, donde estuvimos en un intensivo aprendiendo sobre la magia del cine en sus diferentes áreas de creación, una vez finalizada esa experiencia ya todos empezábamos a tomar rumbo hacia nuestros destinos. Nosotros 4 que nos juntamos llevábamos los destinos más cercanos, así que decidimos irnos juntos, era un día domingo y ya nos habían advertido que era muy difícil el transporte sobre todo porque teníamos muchos trasbordos.

As I listened to his proposal I was mentally surprised and wondered if I was capable of taking on that challenge, and it is quite a challenge to travel that way. I thought about it and as they laid out the pros and cons of doing it I hesitated. With nothing more to say, we all agreed and went for the adventure without much thought.

Nos encontrábamos en el primer punto de partida, los 4 conversamos y veíamos pasar el tiempo y se notaba lo lento del flujo de transporte por ser domingo, uno de los chicos Kanuto, propone irnos pidiendo aventón de un sitio a otro hasta que quedáramos lo más cerca posible de nuestras rutas finales. Al escuchar su propuesta mentalmente me sorprendí y me preguntaba si era capaz de asumir ese reto, y vaya que es todo un reto viajar de esa manera. Lo pensaba y mientras ellos exponían los pro y contras de hacerlo yo dudaba. Sin más que decir, todos estuvimos de acuerdo y nos lanzamos a la aventura sin mucho pensarlo.

While the 4 of us were pulling out our thumb to get the first ride, I felt the adrenaline activated in me and began to take over my body, it was a strange feeling, but it filled me with a lot of power, security and confidence in me, we know perfectly well the many dangers that can cross our path in an adventure like this, but once you make the decision and you are facing it, you only think about how well it will go, in an almost spontaneous way we block all negative thoughts and we focus on the positive. That's how we did it.

Mientras estábamos los 4 sacando el dedo pulgar para lograr pedir el primer aventón, sentía como se activaba en mí la adrenalina y empezaba a apoderarse de mi cuerpo, fue una sensación extraña, pero que me llenaba de mucho poder, seguridad y confianza en mí, sabemos perfectamente los muchos peligros que pueden atravesarse en nuestro camino en una aventura como esta, pero una vez que tomas la decisión y estás haciendo frente te ocupas en solo pensar lo bien que va a ir, de una manera casi espontánea bloqueamos todo pensamiento negativo y nos enfocamos en lo positivo. Así lo hicimos.

When the first van stopped, we jumped for joy and we all ran towards it, we got on and indicated where we would get off, once the van started we began to sing and applaud, that moment of feeling that freedom to do things without planning them, in such a spontaneous way fills you with vitality, power, a lot of self-confidence, it is an extraordinary moment, pushing us towards the unknown is the best way to feel alive, it connects us with our being, with our inner strength and we act in favor of it.

Cuando se detuvo la primera camioneta, saltamos de alegría y corrimos todos hacia ella, nos subimos y le indicamos donde nos bajaríamos, una vez que la camioneta arranco empezamos a cantar y aplaudir, ese momento de sentir esa libertad de hacer cosas sin planificarlas, de una manera tan espontánea te llena de vitalidad, de poder, de mucha confianza en uno mismo, es un momento extraordinario, impulsarnos hacia lo desconocido es la mejor manera de sentirnos vivos, nos conecta con nuestro ser, con nuestra fortaleza interior y accionamos en pro de ello.

We were riding all day, from hitchhiking to hitchhiking, there were 6 in total that we took, the last one was a bus, which left us in a terminal where each one would take different directions, except Randimar and I, who continued together to the same city, Cumaná, when I got on that bus, I felt like crying, but it was not a sad cry, on the contrary, it was a cry of joy, a cry that told me you could do it, you dared and you made it and here you are a few hours away from arriving home with something new to tell and above all something new to feel thanks to this experience.

Estuvimos rodando todo el día, de aventón en aventón, fueron 6 en total los que tomamos, el último un bus, que nos dejó en una terminal donde cada uno tomaría rumbos diferentes, menos Randimar y yo, que seguíamos juntas a la misma ciudad, Cumaná, al subirme a ese bus, sentía muchas ganas de llorar, pero no era un llanto triste, todo lo contrario, era un llanto de dicha, un llanto que me decía pudiste con eso, te atreviste y lo lograste y acá estás a pocas horas de llegar a tu casa con algo nuevo que contar y sobretodo algo nuevo que sentir gracias a esta experiencia.
