Te enseño a hacer Lettering de dos maneras: Paso a paso ✨️ [esp/eng]

Espero que se encuentren bien, hoy les quiero enseñar a hacer Lettering, una forma de dibujar letras que aprendí desde hace varios años y por eso mismo he ido perfeccionando con el paso del tiempo mi técnica y aunque no considero que sea la mejor, les quiero mostrar los dos métodos que conozco para hacer esta tipografía.

I hope you are well, today I want to teach you how to do Lettering, a way of drawing letters that I learned several years ago and that is why I have been perfecting my technique over time and although I do not consider it to be the best, I want to show you the two methods I know to make this typeface.

Para empezar, ¿qué es el lettering? El lettering es el arte de dibujar letras de forma personalizada, en este caso, de manera cursiva. Ahora sí, ¿qué se necesita para hacer lettering? Si bien puedes usar colores, lápiz, marcadores o variedad de materiales, pero para aprender como tal, recomendaría marcadores, y como sé que existen muchos tipos de puntas y tipos de marcadores les muestro los que yo considero mejores para estas técnicas, Para el primer método recomiendo los marcadores punta pincel, ya que la mayoría son hechos para esto mismo, hacer lettering, sin embargo, aprender a manejar la punta puede ser complicado para un principiante por lo que también use un marcador punta cónica, en esta caso los crayola super tips. Para el segundo método, puedes usar cualquier tipo de marcador, yo escogí unos sencillos punta fina.

Paso 1: Practicar trazos delgados y gruesos
Para empezar, en esta letra cursiva el detalle más importante son los trazos, ya que en cada letra cuando el marcador baja en trazo debe ser grueso mientras que cuando el marcador sube el trazo debe ser delgado, por eso deberías empezar a practicar haciendo líneas o curvas, la técnica aquí está en que cuando el marcador baje, lo inclines y lo presiones un poca más, para que haga el trazo grueso.

For the second method, you can use any type of marker, I chose a simple fine tip.

Step 1: Practice thin and thick strokes
To begin with, in this cursive letter the most important detail is the strokes, since in each letter when the marker goes down the stroke should be thick while when the marker goes up the stroke should be thin, so you should start practicing making lines or curves, the technique here is that when the marker goes down, tilt it and press it a little more, so it makes the thick stroke.

Paso 2: hacer bocetos
Para tener una guía y que sepas por dónde ir, te recomiendo hacer con un lápiz, la letra normal, sin ningún tipo de sombra, solo que esté cursiva.

Paso 3: Empezar a hacer lettering
A partir de aquí, escoge el marcador con el que te sientas más cómodo y empieza a practicar las letras, teniendo presente lo que puse antes, cuando el marcador baje el trazo debe ser grueso, el estilo de las letras puede ir a tu gusto, lo importante es que aprendas a manejar el trazo y que puedas hacer las letras incluso sin tener que despegar el marcador de la hoja

Step 2: make sketches
To have a guide and to know where to go, I recommend you to make with a pencil, the normal letter, without any kind of shadow, only cursive.

Step 3: Start lettering
From here, choose the marker with which you feel more comfortable and start practicing the letters, keeping in mind what I put before, when the marker goes down the stroke should be thick, the style of the letters can go to your liking, the important thing is that you learn to handle the stroke and you can make the letters even without having to take off the marker from the sheet.

Fake lettering
El segundo método es llamado "Fake Lettering" porque en pocas palabras es hacer lettering sin realmente hacerlo, es un método que no uso mucho, pero sirve para cuando tal vez no tengas un marcador para hacer lettering o mientras todavía no lo sepas hacer, para este, utilicé el marcador de punta fina, hice la letra normal, luego coloque las líneas donde el trazo debería ser más grueso y rellene, es bastante sencillo.

Les dejé un abecedario completo que hice con el marcador punta cónica para que vean un modelo de cómo pueden hacer las letras, además de las flechas para que vean cuándo el marcador sube o baja. Fake lettering
The second method is called "Fake Lettering" because in a few words is to do lettering without actually doing it, it is a method that I do not use much, but it is useful for when you may not have a marker to do lettering or while you still do not know how to do it, for this, I used the fine tip marker, I made the normal letter, then place the lines where the stroke should be thicker and fill, it is quite simple.

I left you a complete alphabet that I made with the conical tip marker so you can see a model of how you can make the letters, plus the arrows so you can see when the marker goes up or down.
