SKETCHBOOK-Postales de Buenos Aires[MEMORIES of Buenos Aires]

Hace un tiempo vengo guardando muchas fotos de momentos que me gustan, no todas tienen un sentido en sí, simplemente fueron momentos donde sentí la necesidad de guardar ese pedazo de escena, no es algo que yo haga habitualmente, creo que algo que me gusta de hive es que muchos de mis momentos están guardados acá ahora, así como mis trabajos en costura.

For some time now I have been saving many photos of moments that I like, not all of them have a meaning in themselves, they were simply moments where I felt the need to save that piece of scene, it is not something that I usually do, I think it is something that I like hive is that many of my moments are saved here now, as well as my sewing work.

Decidí hacer postales realmente es el tamaño de los archivos, una postal mide 4 x 6 pulgadas que son unos 10*15 aproximadamente, creo que la medida es un poco mayor. Me tome el trabajo de editar cada una de las fotos con un estilo diferente ya que también tenía ganas de explorar diferentes estilos de edición.

I decided to make postcards, it really is the size of the files, a postcard measures 4 x 6 inches, which is approximately 10*15, I think the measurement is a little larger. I took the trouble to edit each of the photos with a different style since I also wanted to explore different editing styles.

Esta foto del obelisco visto desde lejos, unas dos cuadras quizás la tomen un día de calor, simplemente caminaba a algún lugar que ya no recuerdo bien y decidí tomar la foto ya que casi no había nada de gente en la calle, los días de calor la ciudad puede parecer un poco vacía y es que todo el mundo busca un refugio con aire acondicionado jajaja. Para esta postal tengo ganas de ampliar un estilo que se llama fileteado y tiene una historia en Argentina, pero necesito practicar.

This photo of the obelisk seen from a distance, maybe two blocks away, was taken on a hot day, I was simply walking to some place that I no longer remember well and I decided to take the photo since there were almost no people on the street, on hot days The city can seem a little empty and everyone is looking for a refuge with air conditioning hahaha. For this postcard I want to expand on a style called fileteado and has a history in Argentina, but I need to practice.

Para la siguiente postal tomé una foto que saqué un día en la facultad, había ido un sábado a hacer un trabajo práctico y me topé con ese teléfono público y me gusto la iluminación.
Para editar esta foto use muchos recursos, limpie la pared de la foto, tome máscaras y la difumine, también ajuste temperatura de color, luces, sombras y profundidad.

For the next postcard I took a photo that I took one day at the university, I had gone on a Saturday to do practical work and I came across that public telephone and I liked the lighting. To edit this photo use many resources, clean the photo wall, take masks and blur it, also adjust color temperature, highlights, shadows and depth.

Los teléfonos públicos son algo que siempre me gustó ver, hace mucho tiempo en mi universidad había una cabina entera, pero terminaron sacándola por completo, me hubiera gustado que la dejen en otro lugar como decoración, hice otra versión de edición, pero aún tengo ganas de probar más cosas.

Payphones are something that I always liked to see, a long time ago at my university there was a whole booth, but they ended up removing it completely, I would have liked them to leave it somewhere else as decoration, I made another editing version, but I still want to to try more things.

Hasta el momento mi foto preferida es esta, se trata de una escultura que está en la estación de subterráneo, esta escultura es la cara del David de miguel ángel fragmentada en trozos, esta colgada desde el techo y la artista detrás de esto es Marta Minujim una gran artista plástica de Argentina.
La escultura esta impresa en 3d pero con un acabado que parece totalmente metálico, cuando la vi me fascinó muchísimo pero como iba de pasada la foto es realmente mala jajajjs.

So far my favorite photo is this one, it is a sculpture that is in the subway station, this sculpture is the face of Michelangelo's David fragmented into pieces, it is hanging from the ceiling and the artist behind this is Marta Minujim a great plastic artist from Argentina. The sculpture is printed in 3D but with a finish that looks completely metallic, when I saw it I was very fascinated but since I was just passing by the photo is really bad hahaha.

Cuando quise editarla y hacerla mejor fallé, así que simplemente comencé a trabajar sobre la escultura, aplique otro color, un filtro de pinceladas, quite todo el fondo y generé dos tamaños para hacer un contraste de tamaños, luego en la postal pinté el fondo con los colores nuevos que le dí y agrande ciertas zonas de la cara, realce los colores y listo.

When I wanted to edit it and make it better I failed, so I simply started working on the sculpture, applied another color, a brush stroke filter, removed all the background and generated two sizes to make a contrast of sizes, then on the postcard I painted the background with the new colors that I gave him and enlarge certain areas of the face, enhance the colors and that's it.

De esta postal hice también una segunda versión con un poco de brillos en las zonas de luz, me gusta bastante, y ahora es mi nuevo fondo de pantalla, pero como no está pensando para una pantalla hay que recortarlo.

I also made a second version of this postcard with a little shine in the light areas, I like it a lot, and now it is my new wallpaper, but since it is not intended for a screen, it has to be cut out.

También edité unas fotos hace un tiempo para un trabajo de la facultad y todas me parecen muy hermosas así que quiero compartir algunas ya que realmente fue un gran trabajo de edición, el día que fuimos a sacar las fotos estaba súper nublado y como no podíamos ir otro día tocó editar y mucho ya que yo era la responsable de la edición.

I also edited some photos a while ago for a college project and they all seem very beautiful to me so I want to share some since it really was a great editing job, the day we went to take the photos it was super cloudy and since we couldn't go Another day it was time to edit a lot since I was responsible for the editing.

Estas fotos fueron tomadas en costanera norte, específicamente en la reserva que es un poco más lejos pero no es tan lejos en sí, quizás caminando el tramo es largo, pero es una buena caminata con hermosos pasajes. Para esta postal decidí darle un color azul/celeste más intenso y agregar algo de partículas a la foto, los paisajes con agua y vista de horizonte son de mis preferidos, también tiene retoques puntuales para limpiar objetos de la foto y mejoras de luces y sombras.

These photos were taken on the northern coast, specifically in the reserve which is a little further away but it is not that far in itself, perhaps walking the stretch is long, but it is a good walk with beautiful passages. For this postcard I decided to give it a more intense blue/light blue color and add some particles to the photo. The landscapes with water and horizon views are my favorites. It also has specific retouches to clean up objects in the photo and improvements to lights and shadows.

Me gustó mucho al fin darle sentido a todas esas fotos que estaban en mi teléfono hace meses e ir explorando nuevas formas de edición ya que están relacionadas con mi carrera y con cada avance que hago necesito saber editar más, así que este tipo de ejercicios me permite practicar bastante. I really liked finally making sense of all those photos that were on my phone months ago and exploring new ways of editing since they are related to my career and with each progress I make I need to know how to edit more, so these types of exercises me allows you to practice a lot.
