🌸 A Village Wedding Filled with Love, Tradition, and the Taste of Sohabat

We attended a beautiful wedding ceremony and this wedding was of a staff member of our school and all the school staff attended her wedding. The wedding ceremony was short and simple but very few people were invited because the wedding ceremony was held in a very simple manner but we celebrated the wedding and enjoyed it a lot because this wedding was of our staff member. The day we reached the wedding, it was a Sunday. On Sunday, we arrived at 11 am and all the staff had reached by 3:30 pm. When we reached there, we went to pick up the bride with the barat. When we returned with the bride, then the guests who had been invited were fed. We fed the guests and in this way, we met and welcomed every guest who came in a dignified manner and thus the beautiful wedding ceremony came to an end. All the friends participated in this wedding in full and we handed over the gifts we had bought for the bride and groom to the groom. And all the friends prayed for the groom and prayed for his happiness. Apart from that, the wedding ceremony was very enjoyable and all the guests returned happy.
Here I forgot to mention one thing, the food cooked at the wedding was so delicious that everyone praised it, but we ate the food at the wedding in a very traditional and cultural way. In our village, a dish is very famous which we call Chori or the food which we also call Sohabat. This Sohabat is prepared in a very unique way, but we made this Sohabat even better. To make Sohabat, we add the wheat breads cooked the day before which are cold. In this food, we took big pots and in the big pots we ground the bread very finely and ground it so finely with our hands that it became very fine. Then we put cooked beef meat inside this fine bread and added its curry. By adding curry and meat in this way, the bread that we had ground finely became very soft and tender. Then we ground this bread further with the help of a glass and made it even softer so that it became even finer. You should think that we have made this bread many times. We grated the meat inside and grated it with the help of a glass, so the dish prepared in this way is very tasty and we remember this dish as Sohab or Chori. In our area, on the occasion of weddings, this Sohab is eaten with great joy and enthusiasm. When this Sohab is ready, lemon is put inside it and then it is eaten with a spoon. You can also see in the pictures below how we prepared this Sohab and we ground it well in big pots and all our friends ate it together.
In our village, guests from far and wide who come from other areas to attend a wedding eat this sahabat meal with great enthusiasm. But I would also like to write one thing here and add to your information that this dish, sahabat, is a very common and ordinary dish, but a lot of meat and curry is used to make it. Because when this sahabat is made in a big pot, about five to six people eat it. But if this food is eaten in addition to making sahabat, then 15 to 20 people can eat that food because the thin bread that is put inside it is used a lot of curry to soften it and the curry or the water that is used in the food is used a lot and that is why this sahabat is also considered very expensive. A lot of meat is also added in it. The herbs are finely chopped and the pieces of meat are then added in it. I would also like to write one thing here that ghee is used very little in this sahabat. And the ghee part is not included in it because if you eat it with ghee then it can harm your throat or further inside you. So ghee is used very less in it so that its taste is enhanced. Lemon is definitely added in it so that it can be digested quickly. So I also want to tell you that the more you eat this, your hunger will increase and if you eat two or three plates of this then you will feel hungry again after an hour because it is thin, crushed and very soft and when it goes into the stomach the stomach digests it easily but we have our own body so we should eat everything in balance so that it cannot harm us.
So you can see in the pictures that the food we are eating is called sobhāda. There may be many mistakes in the words in what I am writing and you cannot understand it, so with the help of pictures you can identify this food and you can also see in the pictures how we are cutting small pieces of bread so that we can prepare sobhāda with them. We had this sobhāda together with many friends. You can see in the pictures that we are about 10 to 12 friends and we 10 to 12 friends prepared this sobhāda food in big plates and ate it and then we also drank cold drinks. It was very enjoyable. And this wedding ceremony ended in a beautiful way in a beautiful environment and in the presence of beautiful people. Because the occasion of marriage is a life-changing occasion. This wedding is a moment of joy in which friends and family share in the happiness and then good food is served to friends and family. So in this way we ate halwa as dessert at this wedding. And this halwa was this milky halwa which we also call Khala Baghi Halwa. This Kala Baghi Halwa is very famous for its taste and different chefs cook it in different ways and enhance its flavors. So we ate this food in company and ate halwa for dessert and also had cold drinks and enjoyed this time happily sitting in a beautiful environment with friends and we participated in our friend's happiness and prayed for him. This wedding ceremony was of our friend Bilal Ahmed. Bilal Ahmed is a teacher in our school and he has just got his second marriage. His first marriage had failed and his wife had left him and then he has now got his second marriage and all of us friends are praying that Allah Almighty makes this marriage successful and that he lives his life happily because happiness is very important in a person's life and then when friends, relatives and then neighbors are included in the happiness then that happiness increases even more. So I would also like to say here that the months of November and December are the months of weddings in our area. Everyone gets married during this time. People get married and in this way, gatherings are decorated and new foods are eaten. So this is the first wedding that I am sharing here and I will post more weddings here in the coming days.

Now I want to show you some pictures. These pictures are of all of us friends and we took them at the wedding ceremony. You can see us eating the food and you can see us taking pictures with the groom. These beautiful pictures are our memories. This is a journey full of love. A story that will always remain in the form of these pictures and my words. And when we look at these pictures in the coming days, five years later or 10 years later, whoever sees them will definitely be very happy and will show them to other people and their children in a very wonderful way that these are the wedding pictures on the day we went to attend our friend's wedding.

I also want to write some of my impressions here about this marriage. You and I all know that marriage changes a person's life, but we have to see one more thing. Whether it is the bride or the groom, both of them should respect their partner and the person they are getting married to. When this relationship is one of respect, love, and affection, this relationship will last for a long time. Those people always fail in relationships who do not respect each other. If you respect each other, this relationship will become stronger and stronger. Because those people fail in marriage who do not respect each other, who do not trust each other, who do not trust each other, then in marriage, the bride and groom have to trust each other in their future lives and this trust develops strong relationships. Not only do you have to trust, but you also have to love each other. You also have to respect and honor each other. If you speak angrily, if you hate each other, If you will do or will criticize each other, then this journey will not last long. So always, if you want to live a successful married life, then both the bride and the groom must respect each other, respect each other, love each other, trust each other and solve the problems of the house and their lives together so that they can help each other and support each other in sorrows and happiness. This is the sign of a successful life. So I hope that you will definitely like my writing today and you will definitely like these pictures that you are seeing. This is a memory, this is a story that will always be remembered. Thank you all very much.
