My impressions about the “Ali Primera” urbanism in BQTO - VZLA [ESP // ENG].

I lived for a couple of years in the housing complex “Ali Primera”, located north of the city of Barquisimeto, Venezuela. For many people here it is something that causes an impression due to the size of the city. Those who come for the first time, among their comments, mention that it was not easy to find their way around. I confess that it took me a few days before I could identify which way was north, south, east and west.

It is made up of a little more than 30 zones, with three buildings each and 24 apartments within these buildings. That makes a 4-digit number of families that have stayed in this particular place. Loved by many and hated by others, in principle it is located quite removed from the city and, on the other hand, the neighboring urbanization, was also a complex built by the administration of the current government. By the way, I forgot to mention that this one was also built by the same “people”.

I remember when there were many comments about this great construction, the mafias that were generated, the smuggling of construction materials and the payments under the table to be able to work as a laborer. The direct contact I had at that time was when I was working a few kilometers to the south, where the granzon was extracted to be able to stake out the whole area where the urban development would be. There were many, many days, immense caravans of trucks and trucks that came and went without stopping.

I guess I never thought about the possibility of living here. As a popular saying goes, life takes many turns. My son, Jeremias, was born and the only real possibility of acquiring a house was within the streets of this great urbanization. The process was not easy at all, we went through a great bureaucratic movement of many days, many appointments, coming and going. Until one of those days, we were informed that we were assigned to one of the apartments.

Now my son has a roof over his head, the most important thing is that he can be sheltered and I also believe that the neighbors have managed to find a minimum of balance to live in harmony. With some deficiencies, some of great impact, but at least it can be said that progress has been made compared to the housing complex that was built next door, which was a total waste, an unprecedented disaster. The last I heard of that site was that the houses were not sold, they were given away because crime was the owner of every corner of that housing development.

A few days ago, Jeremiah and I were sitting around waiting for baseball practice and had enough time to appreciate the towers at the entrance of the development. Those were the so-called model towers. We saw up close the differences from the rest of the towers. We had always seen it, but not in detail. I don't know if that's a common thing, but the difference is quite a bit bigger. The model towers have a wider roof to protect from the rains, you can also appreciate the large beams with which they were made, something you don't see in the rest of the development. They even give a feeling of being safer in terms of natural disasters and so many other things that I am sure someone who has studied the subject can tell us more about.

In the meantime, I leave you some pictures of one of the apartments of the urbanism, with its corridors and the view that can be appreciated when walking on the top floor of these, in particular on the third floor. I hope you like the pictures.

These sure have wide walking areas.
That's right my friend, it's great urbanism. Almost a small city. The roads are a spectacle, of course, it all depends on the surrounding neighbors. But in general, a great view of the surroundings. !luv
Yes, everything is super nice. It has held up despite the weather. It is a good place to live.
I have seen these buildings from the outside but have never been inside. I am struck by the common corridors that connect the apartments with each other.
Yes, they are very nice indeed. It was a tremendous piece of work. Thank God it has been maintained, I hope it stays that way. A big hug.
Having your own roof over your head gives you a lot of peace of mind, I am glad you were so lucky because not everyone benefits from the few housing plans.
The structures look nice, clean and freshly painted. Looking good has an impact on the mentality and behavior of the citizens.
Saludos @yonnathang 😉
Yes, they have rarely been maintained. Thank God then, as you say, having a home is one of the most important things we have as citizens and if the environment is manageable, it helps to be well and in peace. Thanks! !luv
