Manual Corn Planting and random photos

Hooray, it's Wednesday!

Hello everyone how are you all? I hope you are well and happy.

This post is about me and my husband planting corn on our small farm.

We do the traditional planting, we use cattle to pull the "daro" and till the land with less effort than I and my husband manually put in the corn seed and cover them with our feet.

It was so hot on the field and I know I would be sweaty so I did not bring my phone to take pictures.

To avoid dehydration, I brought water with me to drink, because I am not used to stay under the sun for too long now.

Planting had been much more challenging because the previously planted and harvested corn plants are still standing and the soil is hard.

There was only me and my husband to do the job and it was very tiring. I wanted to go home but I just can't. I had to do as much as I can so my husband will only have to do little when I get back to work the following day.

He and I followed the rows made by the cattle and driver, every row must be planted and we did it diligently.
Have you ever walked looking down? It makes me dizzy!

See the clouds and how wonderful the weather we have that morning.

Noon came and it was very hot and we are very hungry already. My mother-in-law cooked for us so all we did was wait and get refreshed. My son was at Nanay's house too and we cuddled and played

I looked around her plants and admired their beauty, the tiger orchid flower is just so wow!

A close up photo on this plant is amazing too! I never dared to touch it because t looks so scary.

Nanay's house has a low ceiling so I and my husband decided to eat outside and I took random photos of him. I pitied him for experiencing the hardship he had now, but he said he was happy because he is doing it for his family.

These young roosters entertain us while we eat, the two are resting on a tree's shade when suddenly they fought, we try shooing them away but they didn't bother about us.

And lastly, this pretty butterfly rested near me and I am just lucky to have taken its picture. Look how pretty it is, do you like it? Has it happened to you that a butterfly landed near you? Some people are just so lucky to have butterflies land on them.

This will be all for today, I hope you like my post, thank you so much for your time

Oh, I can really feel how hard it is to plant corn especially under the heat of the sun but the feeling of satisfaction during harvesting time is so priceless.

Sowing corn is my childhood work. We have our cornfield and I always accompany my parents in sowing corn seeds.
