Fahrradausflug am freien Nachmittag
Hallo Leute!
Da im Büro im Moment so viel zu erledigen ist, musste ich auch heute ins Büro und einige Sachen erledigen. Als ich am Nachmittag nach Hause gekommen bin, war meine Frau bereits zur Spätschicht aufgebrochen und kurze Zeit später habe ich unsere Tochter zu einem Kindergeburtstag gebracht, der mit Übernachtung geplant ist. Somit hatte ich den Rest des Tages für mich.

Since there is so much to do in the office at the moment, I also had to go to the office today and do some things. When I came home in the afternoon, my wife had already left for the late shift and a short time later I brought our daughter to a children's birthday party, which is planned with an overnight stay. So I had the rest of the day to myself.
Die Zeit habe ich genutzt und bin mit meinem neuen Fahrrad zu einem kleinen Ausflug aufgebrochen. Der Niederrhein ist hervorragend zum Fahrrad fahren geeignet. Vorausgetzt, man fährt nicht durch die Städte, denn da sind die Radwege jetzt nicht überall so toll ausgebaut.
I used the time and went on a little trip with my new bike. The Lower Rhine Area is excellent for cycling. Provided that you do not drive through the cities, because there the bike paths are not well developed now.
Da meine Frau auf der Arbeit nichts mehr zu Essen abbekommen hat, bin ich bis zu Ihrer Arbeitsstätte gefahren und habe ihr dann etwas zu Essen vorbei gebracht. Hierzu bin ich auf dem Fahrradweg entlang der stillgelegten Bahntrasse zwischen Kleve und Kranenburg gefahren.
Since my wife has got nothing more to eat at work, I drove to your workplace and then brought her something to eat. To do this, I went on the bike path along the disused railroad line between Kleve and Kranenburg.
Kurz vor Kranenburg gibt es bei einer Unterführung dieses Street-Art-Gemälde.
Just before Kranenburg there is this street art painting at an underpass.
In Kranenburg gibt es noch weitere Kunstobjekte zu bestaunen. Was das allerdings darstellen soll erschließt sich mir nicht. Eine Ähnlichkeit zu einem Skorpion ist zu erkennen, aber sicher bin ich mir nicht.
There are other art objects to marvel at in Kranenburg. What this is supposed to represent, however, is not clear to me. A resemblance to a scorpion is to be recognized, but I am not sure.
Auf dem Weg zurück nach Hause hat sich die Sonne bereits auf dem langsamen Weg nach unten gemacht.
On the way back home, the sun has already made its slow way down.
Knapp 42 Kilometer bin ich am Nachmittag gefahren. Mit dem E-Bike macht es aber auch richtig Spaß.
