Our Festival Durga Puja is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This year [2022] The Durga Puja in Kolkata was declared an intangible cultural treasure by UNESCO.
We [Hindus] celebrate the holiday of Durga Puja in honour of Goddess Durga, the embodiment of the holy feminine. We celebrate Durga Puja. Every year, throughout the months of September and October.
I'm from [Kolkata] India, and now I'll share to you about a significant holiday in my nation. Honored to mention @tattoodja, I pray to Goddess Durga for his wife's speedy recovery.
It is the largest Hindu festival in Kolkata and has been observed since antiquity. Other religions are represented at this festival, and everyone who attends has a great time. Each district in my nation hosts this celebration.
During puja, most of the roads are no entry, nothing comes except some emergency cars and ambulance, various shops and people crowd along the roads. It seems that there is a fair of colorful lights all over the road.
