Introduce Myself

Hola, mi nombre es Jesús Mario pero todos me llaman por mi segundo nombre “Mario”, muy pocos conocen mi nombre completo pero ahora tú que ya sabes algo que muchos de mis conocidos no, te contaré un poco más sobre mi, nací el 24 de septiembre del 2004, por lo que actualmente tengo 21 años de edad, Soy natural de Artemisa, Cuba. Curso el tercer año de la carrera Artes de la Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural en el Universidad de las Artes(ISA), aunque desde los 18 años me he dedicado a la fotografía.

Hello, my name is Jesús Mario but everyone calls me by my middle name "Mario", very few know my full name but now you know something that many of my acquaintances don't, I will tell you a little more about myself, I was born on September 24, 2004, so I am currently 21 years old, I am a native of Artemisa, Cuba. I am studying the third year of the Arts of the Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Arts (ISA), although since I was 18 years old I have dedicated myself to photography.

En este mes de enero del año 2026 se cumplen 3 años de que me compré mi primera cámara, una canon 4000D y con ella di mis primeros pasos en la fotografía.

In this month of January of the year 2026 it is 3 years since I bought my first camera, a Canon 4000D and with it I took my first steps in photography.

Al principio comencé trabajando en un taller de impresión, donde tuve la oportunidad de trabajar con un gran artista de esta rama del arte, sus enseñanzas todavía y sus consejos están presentes todavía en mi manera de ver y trabajar la fotografía.

At first I started working in a printing workshop, where I had the opportunity to work with a great artist from this branch of art, his teachings and his advice are still present in my way of seeing and working on photography.

En el año 2024 viajé hasta La Habana, para comenzar a estudiar en la universidad, hecho que marcó un antes y un después en mi fotografía.

In 2024 I traveled to Havana, to start studying at the university, a fact that marked a before and after in my photograph.

Al estar becado en una universidad de artes, me he mantenido constantemente inspirado y trabajando en mejorar cada vez más en mi fotografía, he pasado cursos y talleres con fotógrafos muy prestigiosos de los cuales estoy muy agradecido por brindarme sus conocimientos.

Being a scholarship to an arts university, I have remained constantly inspired and working to improve more and more in my photography, I have passed courses and workshops with very prestigious photographers of whom I am very grateful for providing me with their knowledge.

Recién comencé mi primer proyecto fotográfico, ya con un poco de madurez en cuanto al arte fotográfico donde seguro podrán disfrutar en mis publicaciones futuras.

I just started my first photographic project, already with a little maturity in terms of photographic art where you will surely be able to enjoy in my future publications.

Alguien dijo: "La fotografía es la imagen de aquello que va a desaparecer", me propongo contar mi experiencia visual a través del lente de una cámara fotográfica y de este modo mostrarlas para que sean vista por mis coterráneos antes de que desaparezca. Cuento con mi sensibilidad para seleccionar aquello que veo. Salir al mundo exterior para captar escenas a menudo contradictorias que suceden a veces de modo inconsciente. Observo el palpitar de la vida a mi alrededor y la muestro con un guiño a todos los fotógrafos que me antecedieron. Gracias a @muhammadhalim por mostrarame #Hive, muy agradecido por la comunidad en la que me presento.

Someone said: "Photography is the image of what is going to disappear," I propose to tell my visual experience through the lens of a camera and thus show them so that they are seen by my compatriots before it disappears. I count on my sensitivity to select what I see. Going out to the outside world to capture often contradictory scenes that sometimes happen unconsciously. I observe the throbbing of life around me and show it with a wink to all the photographers who preceded me.
