Exile/Monomad Challenge

Someone said: a people emigrates, when their rulers are superfluous. Isn't emigration a natural process? Will birds emigrate for political issues? What do birds and the Cuban people have in common?

Emigration in Cuba has been a phenomenon that has struck us throughout the history of our country, even before the triumph of the revolution in 1959.

Emigration as I mentioned before is a natural process, for them the birds also migrate, either due to food shortages, the climate or something much stronger in unconscious and it is their genetic memory.

Answering the question, what will birds and the Cuban people have in common? Well, it's simple to understand although it's really more complex than it seems, the lack of resources that hits us day by day, lack of food, medicine and even electricity and on top of that everything that this can cause

Many Cubans do not emigrate, only for their own reasons, but also to give their family a better future. In many cases, children separated from their parents or vice versa.

The fact that the United States is the new whereabouts of many Cubans could have many explanations, but looking at it from another point of view, geographically it is only 90 miles from the island

Now is where I remind you that there is something much stronger than us and it is our survival instinct and our genetic memory, an aspect that is very related to that of birds, that our ancestors have emigrated for centuries to the north, also using the same route, they are not only political issues, it is much stronger than us, it runs through our blood and is called DNA

I chose black and white for these photos, which has caused us so much pain, it can only be explained in lights and shadows

Alguien dijo: un pueblo emigra, cuando sus gobernantes sobran sobran. ¿Acaso no es la emigración un proceso natural? ¿Emigrarán las aves por temas políticos?¿Que hay en común entres las aves y el pueblo cubano?

La emigración en Cuba ha sido un fenómeno que nos ha golpeado a lo largo de la historia de nuestro país, incluso antes del triunfo de la revolución en el año 1959.

La emigración como mencioné antes es un proceso natural, por ellos las aves también emigran, ya sea por la escasez de alimentos, el clima o algo mucho más fuerte en inconsciente y es su memoria genética.

Respondiendo a la pregunta ¿ qué tendrán en común, las aves y el pueblo cubano? Pues es simple de entender aunque en realmente es más complejo de lo que parece, la falta de recursos que nos golpea día a día, falta de alimentos, medicina y hasta la electricidad y encima todo lo que esto puede provocar

Muchos cubanos no emigran, solo por razones propias, sino también para brindarle a su familia un futuro mejor. En muchísimos casos, hijos separados de sus padres o viceversa.

El hecho de que Estados Unidos sea el nuevo paradero de muchos cubanos, podría tener muchos explicaciones, pero mirándolo desde otro punto de vista, geográficamente está a solo 90millas de la Isla

Ahora es donde te recuerdo que hay algo mucho más fuerte que nosotros y es nuestro instinto de supervivencia y nuestra memoria genética, aspecto que guarda mucha relación con la de las aves, que nuestros antepasados hayan emigrado por siglos hacia el norte, utilizando además una misma ruta, no solo son cuestiones políticas, es mucho más fuerte que nosotros, corre por nuestra sangre y se llama ADN

Escogí el blanco y negro para estas fotos, que tanto dolor nos ha causado, solo se puede explicar en luces y sombras
