My 5th Hive Anniversary + Fantasy photoshoot in the misty woods + deep thoughts

First of all! It's been my 5th Hive-versary ;-). 5 years! Thanks for having me and once more to Hive and the community and all the people I've met (some in person) over here all through the years. :) I know I post slowly but I hope you find it worth :). Here I am still, sharing slowly but steady. And I'm not a minnow anymore :) I'm a dolphin now. I cannot believe how fast time flies, but thanks to the folks here that keep on encouraging and commenting when I post. For us, artists, feedback is so important, and I'm
always grateful.

I also want to say thanks to all the lovely response to my hive-versary tweet about it from fellow hivers :) It was heartwarming to see the response and engagement to it.

The forest will grow

So first month of 2023 is almost over... and I hadn't even time to write down my resolutions properly... January as been exhausting and chaotic and I cannot seem to find my focus. The forest seems barren but...

This picture was taken earlier this month... This forest burnt a few years ago and in the bleak misty morning it still looks magical. Scarred and wounded but alive. Life is stirring there and will find ways to grow. I know this is a constant recurrent topic in my songs and posts. I have to firmly believe it. I've been a seed in the snow for way too long. But for me too I have to believe there will be a time for me to bloom into the light.

Take it easy. Remember you love creating.

Starting the New Year with so many goals, am I procrastinating already?
Honestly it's been an hectic month in which I feel I have done nothing, but it was full of unexpected events, including feeling not so great, and then a vet emergency with two of my hens (check previous post) one of which is not still out of danger. So all the plans of starting the year with "I'm going to organize and make the best of 2023), sleep better, finish things, POST MORE (LOL) promote with purpose and consistency, HEAL... but all was put on hold while I fought fatigue, sleep deprivation and motivation. But I'm sure this has happened to many, the pressure of "big changes" and "big plans". Don't beat yourself up for it. It's about progress, not perfection. You're not falling behind but going at your own pace. Adjust your goals and be realistic. Small steps lead to giant leaps! And I know I still can do this. 2023 just started.

For my fellow artist friends, also self reminder. Take breaks, set realistic expectations, do not let burnout settle in. Remember why you fell in love with creating music/art in the 1st place. Keep pushing yourself and progress will follow. One step ahead... all through the long way. Do not forget to enjoy the journey while you obsess about the goals.

Artists are not numbers... certainly we are not...! But we live in a world where everybody sometimes needs more in urge to remind you that you're not reaching your full potential rather than acknowledging what you have already achieved. And certainly most of people don't know of your struggles or circumstances, neither I can claim such from others.
All I can say is that I try my BEST and that should be ENOUGH. I'm just still figuring it out how to make it work. But I do believe in what I do.
And there are some people that want to help advice root in changing things I'm proud of...
Why don't you make a more commercial music? Because I enjoy my obscure fantasy genre
Why don't you collaborate with famous people to make a name? Don't I have one already?
Why don't you do tik toks with silly trending sounds to catch traction? or ASMR, or children's music? Because that is just not my art, or my music, or ME. Why seeking a success what would force you to do something you don't enjoy or doesn't represent you?
I JUST WANT TO BE ME
And trust the process, and work hard, and maybe one day, you never KNOW, if something ever happens, all my effort is piling there for everyone to see. Meanwhile if you want to share with friends, add to playlists, post a video on socials, reddit, etc, review content, become a patron, buy music from bandcamp, buy a CD (they still exist), commission art (not AI, just good old fashioned drawings). Always grateful.

Because I'm my art, and it's me. And I create music as a necessity of my spirit and I just happen to share and be proud when that reach another soul. Because I need to be myself and believe in MY DREAM and not in what others think that would work but maybe it is not what I would love to do. I BELIEVE so I KEEP GOING but it's really helpful to be reminded other people find it worth.
No one can tell you how "big" you can dream.

And maybe the forest looks a little bleak now... but life is stirring
