A family ride 🛵 to the bridge piers over the Orinoco River to watch the river rise.
Feliz noche para todos mis amigos viajeros que hacen vida en esta grandiosa comunidad, deseo hayan tenido un excelente fin de semana, que hayan descansado, disfrutado en compañía de sus seres queridos; yo y mi familia como cada domingo fuimos al servicio de escuela dominical esta mañana, y al salir de la iglesia nos quedamos almorzando en casa de mi mamá .
En nuestro pueblo fue un día bastante caluroso, un sol muy radiante, una temperatura bastante alta, un calor muy insoportable; así que, tocó estar metido en el cuarto en el aire acondicionado aprovechando que teníamos electricidad Jajaja; ya avanzada un poco la tarde decidimos salir a respirar un poco de aire fresco; así que nos pusimos de acuerdo con una amiga de la familia, mi esposo, mis hijos, mi mamá y en nuestras motocicletas emprendimos un pequeño recorrido hacia dónde están los pilotes de lo que es el proyecto del tercer puente sobre el río Orinoco (puente Mercosur)
En otras oportunidades habíamos ido por un camino diferente, lo que llamamos nosotros un atajo; pero esta vez hicimos el recorrido desde la entrada principal que está ubicado específicamente entrando a Caicara del Orinoco, en la carretera nacional, troncal 19, y se accede a la construcción desde un sistema de vialidad que se desprende desde esta troncal, a pocos kilómetros antes de llegar al casco central de la población .
La construcción de este tercer puente sobre el Orinoco, está ubicada en el margen sur del medio Orinoco frente a la población de cabruta, sirviendo como punto de interconexión entre los estados Bolívar y Guarico; actualmente la obra de construcción está paralizada y el lugar se ha convertido en algo así como un sitio turístico sobre todo en temporada de crecidas del río como es ahorita en la actualidad; donde muchas familias aprovechan a ir hasta ese lugar a pescar y a compartir un rato en familia; se ha convertido algo así como en un lugar de esparcimiento y recreación.
A pocos metros de iniciar nuestro recorrido pasamos frente a las instalaciones del puesto militar de la 5309 compañía de ferroingenieros del ejército que es una unidad especializada a cargo de la seguridad y apoyo técnico en las obras de infraestructura del puente en esa zona .

My family and I, as we do every Sunday, went to Sunday school this morning, and after church, we had lunch at my mom's house.
It was a very hot day in our town, with a very bright sun and a very high temperature—unbearable heat. So, we had to stay inside the room with the air conditioning on, taking advantage of the fact that we had electricity, haha. Later in the afternoon, we decided to go out and get some fresh air. So, a family friend, my husband, my children, my mom, and I got together, and on our motorcycles, we set off on a short ride to where the pilings for the third bridge over the Orinoco River (Mercosur Bridge) are located.
On other occasions, we had taken a different route, what we call a shortcut. But this time we started the tour from the main entrance, which is located specifically at the entrance to Caicara del Orinoco, on National Highway 19. The construction site is accessed via a road system that branches off from this highway a few kilometers before reaching the town center.
The construction of this third bridge over the Orinoco River is located on the south bank of the middle Orinoco, opposite the town of Cabruta, serving as an interconnection point between the states of Bolívar and Guárico. Currently, construction is halted, and the site has become something of a tourist attraction, especially during the river's high-water season, as it is now. Many families take advantage of the opportunity to go there to fish and spend time together; it has become a place for leisure and recreation.
A few meters from the start of our journey we passed in front of the facilities of the military post of the 5309th company of railway engineers of the army, which is a specialized unit in charge of security and technical support in the infrastructure works of the bridge in that area.
Seguimos avanzando en nuestro recorrido, la brisa era realmente fresca, estaba por caer la tarde, el cielo estaba hermoso, se podía observar a los lados de la carretera como ya el agua ha venido saliendo casi está llegando a la orilla.
Aproximadamente a unos 4 km después de iniciar el recorrido se comienzan a observar los primeros pilotes que están totalmente solamente cabilla, seguimos avanzando y ya comienzan a aparecer los primeros pilotes que tienen un poco de concreto, continuamos el recorrido hasta llegar a una parte elevada donde comienzan a observarse los pilotes que están más avanzados en construcción, se puede observar la base redonda de cabillas llenas de concreto.
El tramo de cabillas es de aproximadamente 1 kilómetro, dónde sólo se observa la armadura sin vaciado, luego comienzan a aparecer los pilotes vaciados con sus cabezales de concreto, abarcando aproximadamente 3 kilómetros hasta llegar al margen del rio Orinoco.
En todo el trayecto aproveché a tomar fotografías sin hacer ninguna parada, solo la tomé desde la motocicleta 🏍️

About 4 km after starting the journey, we began to see the first piles consisting entirely of rebar. As we continued, the first piles with a bit of concrete began to appear. We kept going until we reached an elevated section where we could see the piles that were further along in construction; their round rebar bases were filled with concrete.
The section with just rebar stretches for about 1 kilometer, where only the reinforcement is visible without any concrete pour; then the poured piles with their concrete heads begin to appear, extending for approximately 3 kilometers until reaching the bank of the Orinoco River.
Throughout the entire journey, I took the opportunity to take photos without stopping—I just snapped them from the motorcycle 🏍️
Cuando llegamos al margen del río allí nos detuvimos, nos bajamos, aprovechamos a tomarnos unas fotografías en familia.
A pesar de que ya estaba bastante tarde, casi cayendo la noche, todavía se encontraban allí una familia que estaba pescando, en la vía también vimos varias familias en distintas partes; nos detuvimos allí aproximadamente unos 30 minutos y emprendimos el viaje de vuelta a casa .
Fué un corto paseo, pero muy relajante!

When we reached the riverbank, we stopped there, got out of the car, and took the opportunity to take some family photos.
Even though it was already quite late, with night almost falling, there was still a family there fishing, and we also saw several other families along the road in different spots; we stayed there for about 30 minutes and then headed back home.
It was a short walk, but very relaxing!
