Finding Peace in the Quiet Comfort of Nature || LOH #290
As the term implies, a safe haven is a place where people feel completely free from the many stressors of life. For some, it’s any environment where they can let down their guard and just be themselves. And for others, it’s an activity that lets them unwind after a long day, or a person who treats them with so much love and care.
However, my safe haven will always be a place that offers me a chance to sit with nature, admire the magnificence of it all, and allow myself feel the incredible peace that finds its way to my heart.

On days where I’m overwhelmed with thoughts that cripple my mind and worry so much about the difficulties I’ve been faced with in life, I find comfort in walking past the ever-beautiful flowers blooming in their seasons. The way the branches hold them without fail reminds me of this famous bible verse found in Matthew 6: 28-30,
"But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?"
This alone brings me into a depth of reflection that ends in less worry but hope for tomorrow.

Sometimes, I choose the weekends to visit the park in my city and the sight of the elegant trees steals my attention. For many, it could look like a simple tree, but to me, it’s the evidence of nature’s shelter. When I go closer to stand or sit under its shade, I begin to feel my anxiety wash away as the calm breeeze brushes against my skin. The rustling of its leaves, and the sounds of the birds chirping above it brings a sense of calm to me and aids mindful relaxation.
One of my favorite parts of choosing where nature breathes as my safe haven is getting to see the sky follow me as I move around the earth. It does mean that at different points, I’m able to catch a glimpse of the beautiful skies exuding different hues. My curiosity spikes in wonder of everything above and below the firmaments. I obsess over the beauty of it all and the pictures I take often remind me to appreciate all that what we have.

With nature, I feel a deeply warm inclination to absorb myself in mindful thinking which helps me gather my thoughts and process them with clarity. I enjoy the solitude that comes with listening to the whispers of the trees, and in every moment I spend with nature, I realize that there’s much more beauty to life than the ones we've already seen.
I may not capture the best scenery or have the opportunity to explore further for peak relaxation purposes but for now, I’m thankful for the great gift of nature and the therapy it is for the body and soul!

I enjoyed writing every bit of this response and I implore every writer reading this to share their experiences with us HERE.

Te entiendo perfectamente, los árboles dan una paz increíble e irracional con solo verlos
Me alegra que comprendas mi petición. Es un placer estar en contacto con la naturaleza y a menudo alabo sus beneficios.

God created us as spiritual creatures, man and woman as the apex of his creation. Matthew 6:28-30 reminds us of his that act of creation in Genesis 3. Matthew also understands that in a fallen world God still Loves us and paid a heavy price to restore our love for him and to trust God as our ultimate peace, security and joy.
Thanks for sharing @yechee God bless

Thank you for this nice comment, sis. Truly, the evidence of God's love for us is embedded in some everyday happenings and also seen in many living things like nature's elements. It's only natural that we appreciate the depth of love from all that we see.
Such amazing words and love the way you described your love for nature 🩷 I am like you, being outside in nature, walk at the beach, park or woods is my favorite. Watch the trees, flowers and reflection in water... It is magic.
God Created much beauty to enjoy and we should be better at slowing down in life and take more breath and enjoy the enviroment and focus on the moments.
Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful weekend. Good luck 🌸
I'm honestly delighted that you have acknowledged my descriptions to be pleasantly expressed. It's what writing consistently does, and I'm glad I'm able to use it to convey my feelings about this great gift of nature.
I'm also happy to hear that you find joy in sitting around nature. I do pray that we both will continue to find love and hope for a more meaningful life while being surrounded by the beauties of the world. Thank you too, and have a lovely weekend yourself.🤗❤️
