PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 136 ~ Beverage Seller Amidst the Bustle of Pidie Regency's 514th Anniversary Celebration
Hello Hivers....
This post is my entry for the Portrait Photography Contest hosted by @photofeed. If you'd like to participate, please read the rules
A festive atmosphere prevailed in the courtyard of the Pidie Convention Center (PCC) during the 514th anniversary celebrations of Pidie Regency. Thousands of people flocked to enjoy a series of events, including a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) exhibition, folk entertainment, and a regional culinary bazaar. Street vendors also added to the lively atmosphere.
One eye-catching sight was a refreshing drink vendor walking around carrying a tray of colorful drinks on his head. With great balance and agility, he hawked his wares among the crowd of visitors. Drinks in plastic cups with straws were ready to be sipped, quenching thirst on the warm evening.
This scene not only added color to the celebration but also illustrated the economic pulse of the common people, who were moving along with the euphoria of Pidie's anniversary. For some vendors, this bustling moment presented a golden opportunity to increase their income and introduce their simple products to the wider community.
Besides providing entertainment and pride in Pidie's long history, this celebration also provided a space for social and economic interaction, a place where the community could enjoy togetherness. The presence of the vendors, as pictured above, clearly symbolized that the people's festival belonged to everyone, from the government and residents to small traders seeking a livelihood.
