Beureunun City, located in Pidie Regency, Aceh Province, is a bustling hub of community activity in the region. As the capital of Mutiara District, Beureunun is known for its natural beauty, blending harmoniously with a strong religious and cultural atmosphere. In the center of the city stands a majestic building that has become an icon and source of pride for the Beureunun community: the Baitul A'lil Mujahidin Mosque, also known locally as the Abu Beureueh Mosque, after the figure who founded it.
The Baitul A'lil Mujahidin Mosque stands out in the cityscape with its majestic architecture and striking black dome. Surrounded by two tall white minarets, the mosque is not only the main place of worship but also the center of social and religious activities in the community. Its strategic location in the city center makes it easily accessible to residents and serves as an integral landmark of Beureunun's identity. Near the mosque, an old minaret stands witness to the city's development over time.
Daily life in Beureunun is peaceful and unpretentious, with the backdrop of green rice fields surrounding the residential area and the town's main road. The vibrant community, from traditional markets and shops to roadside coffee shops, creates a vibrant, small-town atmosphere. The Baitul A'lil Mujahidin Mosque serves as a spiritual and social center, strengthening the community's sense of community, anchored by strong Islamic values.
