Hello Hivers...

This post is my entry for a macro photography contest hosted by @Photofeed. If you would like to enter this contest, please read and follow the rules here

The photo I am sharing is of two black butterflies decorating the natural atmosphere around the red hibiscus flower. One of the butterflies is perched on a flower petal, while the other is flying freely in the air. The elegant black color on its wings combined with the white pattern on the bottom creates an elegant and eye-catching impression. This beauty is proof of how rich and colorful insect life is in the tropics.

Large butterflies come from the Papilionidae family which are known for their beauty and wide wingspan. This species is often found in tropical climates including Aceh, Indonesia. They have a habit of perching on flowers to suck nectar, as seen in the hibiscus in the photo. The relationship between butterflies and flowers is very important in the natural pollination process that maintains the balance of the ecosystem.

In addition to being pollinators, butterflies are also indicators of environmental health. Their presence reflects the quality of air, vegetation, and cleanliness of the habitat. If butterflies are found in abundance in a place, it shows that the environment is still well maintained. Therefore, it is important for us to maintain the sustainability of nature so that creatures as beautiful as these can continue to live freely and reproduce.

Through this photo we are invited to appreciate the beauty of small creatures that often go unnoticed. Butterflies are not only a symbol of transformation and beauty, but also an important part of the chain of life. Watching them dance among flowers and green leaves brings calm as well as awareness of the importance of maintaining harmony with nature.

Important Note: I wrote in Indonesian, then translated it using Google Translate.
