Night Sky Lit Up by the Moon

Hello everyone! @qurator is hosting a weekly Photo Quest and the theme for this week is 'Night Sky'. This is my submission to this contest.

Today the dark night sky is lit up with a big, beautiful moon. I took some pictures as I almost always do so during full moon or when the moon looks bright. I think it's because it was a full moon yesterday. It was an eclipse though. So today is the next day which means it is the waning moon but it is still bright and beautiful, almost like a spotlight in the sky.

This is the view from my room. I guess I'm quite blessed because I get the direct view of both the sunrise and the moon as well. I often take their photographs when I catch their sight. That's the window grill of my room.

I also zoomed the moon and got these pictures. While it doesn't have professional camera level clarity, I think they still look wonderful.

For the above pictures, I was still keeping my hands within my grill area. I usually never ever extend my hands to get better pictures as it's risky since I already have small hands, I am generally paranoid that I may drop my phone. Also living among the top floors isn't helpful at all, except I get such beautiful views.

Here I decided I'll take a risk and extended my hands outside my grill so I can take better pictures including the first one which is my entry. So now my grill isn't blocking the view. It rained in the evening today and that's why it still seems a little cloudy.

By the way, this is the mobile application that I use to check the moon phases regularly. It's just a fun thing that I do and it tells me how far is the moon at the very moment too because the app shows it live and the distance constantly changes. See how it says 99% illumination?

This is the last photograph that I snapped. I positioned the moon the center. I actually had a different post written for this contest. But my brother suggested to photograph today's sky as the moon was almost full. So I thought it was a good suggestion and went ahead to write an entirely new post which is the one you are reading now.
