A Day of Pink Celebration
Hello everyone! @qurator is hosting a weekly Photo Quest and the theme for this week is 'Pink'. I thought of joining and this is my entry submission for this week's quest.
Pink is my favourite colour and hence I dressed up in all pink to my cousin brother's wedding. It also happened to fall on another special day which is my birthday so it was double celebration for me. My makeup, outfit and bag were all pink. As the ceremony was going on, I wanted to capture my raindrop glass bangles that I bought very eagerly as they looked beautiful. They are currently in trend and are considered premium quality for glass bangles category. I got a set for myself as a little self-gift because it was going to be my birthday so I might as well splurge a little on myself. I mixed it up with a few gold bangles as I had some gold in my outfit.
These bangles are called the raindrop bangles because of the intricate details of little gold dots all around them and they don't come off or get anywhere as they're not glittery. They shine and glimmer in a certain way too due to the way they are cut with edges in diamond shape. In real, it looks like they may have a little diamond shiny bead on them but it's just their cutting that makes them shine that way. The raindrop bangles are also thicker than usual glass bangles though they still make the same beautiful sound as they bump against each other during hand movements.
I was actually trying to get a picture that is artistic to display my bangles in the best way. So I took a bunch of pictures to highlight my bangles. I'll probably only wear them for another function as such glass bangles are fragile unfortunately and can break due to wear and tear. By the way, that's my pink potli bag on the left that I bought for this event. It was handmade with gold sequins and embroidery all over it along with little bells, charms, beads and even pom poms.
This is the uncropped version of the first picture. The outfit I'm wearing in the photo is a pink saree which is a traditional Indian garment worn by women. The section that has design like in the picture above is called the 'pallu' which usually hangs straight down while we stand up. Since I was sitting here, I just placed it on my lap so it doesn't just lay on the floor.
Tada!! This was my look for the wedding. I did a simple pink makeup for the event. This was after the ceremony. I actually received a gift money from one of my aunties for my birthday. She wished me and took the money straight from her wallet and placed it into my hands. It was an eventful day and due to being tired as we all woke up early, we ended up extending our stay to another day.

Thank you @qurator for hosting this contest. I wish all the best to everyone participating and thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful day ahead!
