No matter what, be yourself

When you think of a businessman, how do you imagine him or her?
A few years ago, when I started as an entrepreneur, I saw myself in suits, ties, and dress shoes.
I never thought of myself as a person who cared more about appearances than spirituality. My family taught me that feelings are worth more, however, sometimes you get caught up in the context.
You meet people in suits and ties who claim to be trustworthy, and you want to look like them too because you trust their opinion.
For a while, that was the image I gave everyone; until one day something changed; I was the victim of a large-scale scam. And I realized it doesn't matter the suit, the dress shoes, or the tie; the most important thing is your principles, your mentality, and the kind of person you are.
Now, I analyze a lot more the people I meet with, maybe because I have been naïve on many occasions; perhaps because I have become more analytical and yes, distrustful.
And, seen as I feel more comfortable, more me. Not forgetting where I came from, who I am, and what my purpose in life is. Clothing, money, cars, and diamonds, don't make you a better person, they don't make you reliable, and they don't even make you successful.
It is your clear goals, your perseverance, your fidelity to yourself, and the principles that lead you to achieve your goals.
