Hoy quiero compartirles otra de mis visitas a campo está vez es en un sector que tiene por nombre Guaiguayure de la parroquia Freitez del Municipio Crespo del estado Lara está zona se encuentra muy cerca del vecino estado Yaracuy en Venezuela.
Today I want to share with you another of my field visits, this time it is in a sector called Guaiguayure in the Freitez parish of the Crespo Municipality in the state of Lara, this area is very close to the neighboring state of Yaracuy in Venezuela.
Guaiguayure es una zona por excelencia productora de aguacate 🥑 ( Persea americana) existen varias granjas o fincas muy productivas pero también existen productores pequeños cuya realidad es diferente para cada uno en esta visita a campo me conseguí con diversos casos.
Guaiguayure is an avocado producing area par excellence 🥑 (Persea americana) there are several very productive farms or farms but there are also small producers whose reality is different for each one in this field visit I got with several cases.
Por otro lados la quebrada que atraviesa todo el sector de llama Quebrada Guaiguayure en este momento por el ciclo de verano se encuentra casi sin agua puede atravesarla caminando con facilidad sin embargo en los periodos de precipitaciones suele ser desastrosa ha causado inundaciones, arrastrado árboles de aguacate y dañado viviendas dado a qué se han estado muy cerca de su cauce.
On the other hand, the creek that crosses the entire sector is called Quebrada Guaiguayure. At the moment, due to the summer cycle, it is almost without water and can be easily crossed on foot; however, during periods of rainfall it is usually disastrous and has caused flooding, dragged avocado trees and damaged houses because they have been very close to its course.
Cómo decía anteriormente me encontré con varios casos uno de ellos es un par de ancianos viviendo en una estructura improvisada de laminas de asbesto ésto me sorprendió porque aunque se que en la zona hay casas de bahareque( de barro) no pensaba conseguirme con esto debido a la prohibición de este tipo de material los ancianos me contaron que su casita anterior debido al desbordamiento de la Quebrada Guaiguayure se les dañó completamente y quedaron sin vivienda es por ello que se mudaron a un sitio más alto y con este ranchito improvisado.
Creo que está es una zona poco atendida por las instituciones mi visita era por parte del área agrícola sin embargo tome datos de la parte social; le pase está información al equipo de infraestructura municipal espero tomen en cuenta esté caso aparte de que el sr tiene problemas de salud.
As I said before I found several cases one of them is a couple of elderly people living in an improvised structure of asbestos sheets this surprised me because although I know that in the area there are houses of bahareque (mud) I did not think to get me with this due to the prohibition of this type of material the elderly told me that their previous house due to the overflow of the Quebrada Guaiguayure was completely damaged and they were left without housing that is why they moved to a higher place and with this improvised hut.
I believe that this is an area that is not very well attended by the institutions, my visit was for the agricultural area, however I took data from the social area; I passed this information to the municipal infrastructure team and I hope they take this case into account, besides the fact that Mr. has health problems.
En ese sector no se cuenta con señal telefónica de ninguna operadora mucho menos acceso a wi-fi. En lo personal muchas veces pase por esa zona pero de paseo y si me tocó atravesar muchas veces la Quebrada Guaiguayure en vehículo en invierno y en verano sin embargo tenía casi 4 años que no pasaba por ese sitio y mucho menos caminando y pidiendo cola para poder llegar hasta el sector porque andamos sin logística a parte sin conocer tantas realidades. Tuve sentimientos encontrados.
In that sector there is no telephone signal from any operator, much less wi-fi access. Personally, I have passed through this area many times, but I had to cross the Guaiguayure Creek many times by car in winter and in summer, but I had not passed through this place for almost 4 years, much less walking and asking for a queue to get to the area because we walk without logistics and without knowing so many realities. I had mixed feelings.
