Feliz año nuevo a todos los que me leen. Seguro ustedes estarán de acuerdo conmigo, hive siempre tiene una sorpresa. Resulta que llevo media vida queriendo visitar a @davidsantafe en su taller, porque sin lugar a dudas es un artista plástico al que admiro. Pensé mil veces entrevistarlo allí en medio de la mística que envuelve su creación.

Llegué con mi familia a la casa del maestro y pasamos a su taller. Todas la preguntas que un día pensé hacerle pasaron a un segundo plano. David había concluido una conversación con @jordy0827 sobre hive. Ella amablemente le ha explicado como mejorar sus publicaciones en cuanto a varios aspectos. Ambos incursionan en comunidades de dibujo en particular y arte en general.

Así las cosas, la conversación con @juliom y conmigo continuó en la cuerda de hive. Me enseñó las comunidades en las que mejores resultados tiene. Habló de los separadores que anda usando. Me explicó varias cosas sobre maquetado en las que yo tenía dudas. Confieso que me sorprendió su avance.

Me dijo que hay que superar barreras y limitaciones que generalmente están en la mente y que rápidamente se puede aprender si se libera uno te tabúes y miedos. Eso más o menos fue lo que me explicó. En su taller hay varias representaciones de su filosofía de vida en las que habrá que profundizar.

En la conversación con la amiga @jordy0827 le estaba mostrando a ella una nueva técnica en la que está incursionando a pequeña escala. Luego será motivo para una obra grande, para escribir varios post. En alguno hará un tutorial de cómo hacer una obra similar. @juliom enseguida reconoció los materiales con los que trabaja, yo no lo adelanto porque seguro el maestro les cuenta.

Mi mirada curiosa anduvo de soslayo por todo el taller. La puerta de entrada está cubierta con una pieza de metal que tiene al relieve un Cacique o Chamán. El pintor se paró junto a este personaje de su puerta y una combinación de luces y sombras se proyectó en el rostro del artista. Me resultó algo mágico.

Varias obras cuelgan en la pared del taller. Algunas piezas las conocía en fotos y las imaginaba pequeñas, son óleos sobre lienzo y tienen dimensiones mucho más grandes de las que me imaginaba. Allí encontré artesanías, dibujos, esquemas de la filosofía de vida del maestro.

Otra vez hive salió a la conversación. Un grupo importante de dibujos estaban allí. Todos son parte de diferentes post que ha escrito. Rostros queridos como el de @jordy0827, otro de una muchacha que no recuerdo el nombre y el mío propio. Todos reposan allí en espera de sus dueños, todos menos el mío, que ya lo tengo conmigo.

Me contó que sorprendería a @wendy23 muy pronto. Como decimos los del campo, lo hizo a la velocidad del guayabito, ya está publicado su retrato y con una historia de fondo.

Algunos dibujos fueron elaborados para escenificar un juego de pelota u otra contienda narrada. Hubo cuentos de carboneros y de montes. También tutoriales para dibujar desde lo simple hasta lo complejo. El artista me confiesa que hive le ha servido para estudiar y ejercitarse en el dibujo. Ha cumplido tareas pendientes con esta zona de la creación artística.

Se terminó la visita saliendo del taller y pasando por el interior de su casa. En sus salones están expuestas algunas piezas que son joyas, desde mi percepción de público. Tengo que regresar otro día para resolver mis inquietudes como promotora cultural. Pero algo les digo, estoy feliz de haberle hablado de hive a @davidsantafe. Creo que es una fortuna que @hivecuba cuente con un artista de semejante talla. Por acá, por hive, nos vemos.

I thought a thousand times to interview him there in the middle of the mystique that surrounds his creation.

I arrived with my family to the master's house and we went to his workshop. All the questions I had thought of asking him one day were put on the back burner. David had concluded a conversation with @jordy0827 about hive. She has kindly explained to him how to improve his publications in terms of various aspects. They both dabble in drawing communities in particular and art in general.

As it was, the conversation with @juliom and me continued on the hive thread. He showed me the communities in which he has the best results. He talked about the separators he's using. He explained several things about layout that I had doubts about. I confess that I was surprised by his progress.

He told me that you have to overcome barriers and limitations that are usually in your mind and that you can learn quickly if you free yourself from taboos and fears. That was more or less what he explained to me. In his workshop there are several representations of his philosophy of life that we will have to go deeper into.

In the conversation with my friend @jordy0827 he was showing her a new technique that he is experimenting with on a small scale. Then it will be the reason for a big piece of work, to write several posts. In one of them he will do a tutorial on how to make a similar work. @juliom immediately recognized the materials she works with, I won't tell you about it because I'm sure the master will tell you about it.

My curious gaze wandered around the workshop. The entrance door is covered with a piece of metal with a Cacique or Shaman in relief. The painter stood next to this character on his door and a combination of light and shadow was projected on the artist's face. It was magical to me.

Several works hang on the wall of the studio. Some pieces I knew in photos and imagined them small, they are oils on canvas and have much larger dimensions than I imagined. There I found crafts, drawings, diagrams of the master's philosophy of life.

Again hive came into the conversation. An important group of drawings were there. They are all part of different posts he has written. Beloved faces like @jordy0827's, another one of a girl I don't remember the name of and my own. They all rest there waiting for their owners, all except mine, which I already have with me.

He told me he would surprise @wendy23 very soon. As we country folk say, he did it at guayabito speed, his portrait is already published and with a backstory.

Some drawings were made to stage a ball game or other narrated contest. There were tales of charcoal burners and mountains. There were also tutorials for drawing from the simple to the complex. The artist confesses to me that hive has helped him to study and exercise in drawing. He has fulfilled pending tasks with this area of artistic creation.

The visit ended leaving the workshop and passing through the interior of his house. In his rooms are exposed some pieces that are jewels, from my public perception. I have to return another day to resolve my concerns as a cultural promoter.
