Amazing Nature!
I learned a lot about alligators 🐊 from a new friend, Felipe Correa, nature photographer and tour guide who let my wife and I use his camera as he showed us around the Everglades on an airboat.
I invite you to visit Felipe’s virtual gallery, here:
Unlike crocodiles, gators are less aggressive and more curious — you can also identify them by their U shaped snout vs the crocodile’s pointy one.
Our other tour guide was an American Indian & something of a gator whisperer, who grew up with them. This gentle soul said that he had to give up eating gator meat so that he could commune with them as a friend, not a predator.
As part of our tour we visited a small island, where even the crickets seemed enchanted.
Still discovering Florida and its wonders, after all these years of living here…
We appreciate your work and your post has been manually curated by zoology team (oscurity, nelinoeva) on behalf of Amazing Nature Community. Keep up the good work!
