The enchantment of the final hour
Good afternoon, Photography Lovers community!
Here is my entry for this community!
Many of you who follow my posts already know that I really enjoy rediscovering places I’ve been to before. Looking at them in a different light. Finding a glimmer of light, a detail, that I hadn’t seen before—or that didn’t even exist.
I met up for coffee with someone I met at work. At first, I thought they were a bit aloof and a bit too intellectual for me to talk to, but they turned out to be very approachable, despite their intellectual capacity clearly being above mine!
We had agreed to meet near the Jerônimos Monastery around 6 p.m. And since I managed to arrive a few minutes early, it gave me the chance to capture the fantastic light that place takes on...
We switched to daylight saving time early this morning. This happens on the last Sunday in March, when clocks are set forward one hour. In practice, what happens is that what would have been 6 p.m. is now 7 p.m., making late afternoons much brighter.
The dance of the last rays of sunlight at the end of the day is one of the most inspiring sights I love to witness, and one of the most challenging for me to capture with a cell phone. I haven’t had a chance yet to really look into which camera model to buy (new or used), but it’s definitely something I want to do.
I hope you enjoy this humble sharing of the photos I took yesterday, on a magnificent and unique late afternoon.

I hope you enjoyed my post here in the Photography Lovers community

You took awesome pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Good afternoon, Oleh!
It was your first time in Portugal? Did you had the opportunity to visit other places in Lisbon?
Thank you for your kind comment!
Have a great Sunday!
The sunlight looks magical and cozy. 🌞🌇
And you know it by yourself how stunning the afternoons could be in this spot 😅
