#Monomad Challenge - Walking around/Caminhando por aí [Eng-Pt]

Here is my entry for the #monomad contest by @brumest and @monochromes.

This week I had a routine appointment at one of the largest public hospitals in the Lisbon area. The area is well known to anyone who passes through it, with its wide avenues and heavy traffic.

On a weekday morning, it is always very common for these streets to be very busy. Even more so at this time of year, when the return to school further increases the constant flow of cars.

Waiting for the traffic light to cross the crosswalk can end up taking more than four minutes, especially at this time of day.

So, it's a great opportunity to try photographing passing cars using the panning technique. And even when using a cell phone, the results are really satisfying, with at least three of them achieving a nice focus on the front of the vehicle in focus.

We often see people walking around, a bit like someone with no destination, not paying attention to where they are going, how they are going, or where they are going... And nowadays, with cell phones, the collective hypnosis that we witness is even more visible.

In one of the small outdoor gardens of the hospital, a seagull also seemed a little oblivious to its surroundings... Somewhat removed from the coastline, it traced more or less orderly patterns across the welcoming green carpet.

How many of us go about our daily lives seemingly unaware of what we are doing? Have you ever thought about that?

Today I also had time to use the online editor PhotoScape X a little more. Do you know this free photo editor? It's very good. It has quite a few unlocked features, and only a few more advanced ones are only available in the “paid” version. But take a good look at the final result I got with the photo showing the cars lined up at the crosswalk, with the Mini in the center. What do you think? The result is very cool, isn't it?

I hope you enjoyed my small collection of photos taken with my cell phone, where I tried to use a technique I learned a few years ago, which I really liked because of the quality of the images captured.

Esta semana tive uma consulta de rotina num dos maiores hospitais públicos da região de Lisboa. A zona é bem conhecida por quem passa por ali, pelas suas avenidas largas, com bastante trânsito.

Numa manhã de dia de trabalho, é sempre muito comum estas ruas terem muito movimento. Ainda para mais na altura em que o regresso às aulas ainda reforça mais o movimento de carros constante.

A espera pelo semáforo para poder atravessar a passadeira, acaba por se tornar algo que pode demorar mais de quatro minutos, principalmente nesta parte do dia.

Por isso, é mais do que uma boa oportunidade para tentar fotografar os carros que passam usando a técnica de panning. E mesmo estando a usar um telemóvel, os resultados são francamente satisfatórios, tendo em pelo três delas conseguido um foco bem catita na parte da frente do veículo do foco.

Muitas vezes vemos pessoas a andar, um pouco ao jeito de alguém sem destino, sem tomarem conta para onde vão, como vão e por onde vão... E hoje em dia, com os telemóveis, ainda mais é visível a hipnose conjunta que se assiste.

Num dos pequenos jardins exteriores do Hospital, uma gaivota parecia também um pouco alheia ao que a rodeava... Algo afastada da orla costeira, descrevia padrões mais ou menos ordenados, ao longo do tapete verde acolhedor.

Quantos de nós anda diariamente como que não conscientes do que estamos a fazer? Já pensaram nisso?

Hoje tive também tempo de usar mais um pouco do editor online PhotoScape X. Vocês conhecem este editor de fotografias gratuito? É muito bom. Tem bastantes funcionalidades desbloqueadas, e apenas algumas mais avançadas é que só estão disponíveis na versão "paga". Mas olhem bem para o resultado final que eu obtive com a foto em que aparecem os carros perfilados na linha da passadeira, com o mini na parte central. O que acham? Muito giro o resultado, não é?

Espero que tenham gostado desta minha pequena coleção de fotografia feitas com telemóvel, onde tentei usar uma técnica que aprendi há alguns anos atrás, e que agradou muito pela qualidade das imagens capturadas.
