#Monomad Challenge - The City’s Sweet Lullaby

Good evening, #Monomad friends

Here is my entry for the #monomad contest by @brumest and @monochromes.

Anyone who enjoys strolling through the city without a set destination knows the immense pleasure it brings when, with every step we take, we spot three or four more points of interest.

The places may even be ordinary, or we may have passed by them hundreds and hundreds of times; and the day may not even be particularly beautiful, but there will always be something that catches our attention. A certain shadow, a certain outline, a certain gaze, or the interest evoked by the subject of the photograph.

Glances that cross paths in a city that rarely leaves behind those who love to embrace it, who love to appreciate it, who love to walk through it and look around. Looking around. That’s it. That’s always what I try to do. And no matter how many times I’ve been there, it seems that the desire to visit these places only grows the more I learn and discover about them.

It’s like a romantic relationship. Everything ends up feeling new, even if I’ve been with this “girlfriend” forever. Everything is new, and it fuels the desire to discover more and more. Because there’s always more to discover. All around us. Ahead of us, and in the memories we hold inside, which insist on surfacing whenever a song, a scent, a building’s facade, or a simple smile from a stranger awakens us from within and makes us seek more and more!
