#Monomad Challenge - Memories of a childhood I’ll never forget

Good morning, #Monomad friends

Here is my entry for the #monomad contest by @brumest and @monochromes.

Patterns are an important part of our lives.

Our minds look for them in everything. And we are led to constantly correlate what we observe...
But there are physical patterns that sometimes exist in our world, and we don’t notice them unless we focus on them.

The other day, I managed to make a small sketch of a pattern used for a sidewalk on one of the streets that is used by many pedestrians every day.

The other day, I was in one of the areas where I have many childhood memories. In this location, from the 1970s until the mid-2000s, there was an amusement fair. It was quite popular and featured everything from bumper cars to roller coasters, a few restaurants, and plenty of entertainment options. I remember those were fantastic nights, the ones when my parents decided to come to the Lisbon Fair.

Today, a massive development is underway on the land that once belonged to that fair.

When nostalgia strikes, the memories of the best times of my childhood come flooding back almost instantly.

On the day I passed by here, I noticed the pattern of the pavement... and let the memories flow through my mind.
