#Monomad Challenge - A longing for light that only black can attain

Good afternoon, #Monomad friends

Here is my entry for the #monomad contest by @brumest and @monochromes.

Train stations, trains, and passengers have always been a subject that really excites me.

The structures, the contrasts, the iron… The shadow that bathes an entire vast expanse. It all creates an atmosphere all its own. Filmmakers have always made use of these elements. I am by no means someone with a special talent for capturing everyday moments with light. But I must confess that I really enjoy photographing in these settings.

People waiting.
People crossing from one side of the line to the other.
And people who are simply passing the time, filling their time by observing.

Just as I do.

Perhaps in a more detailed and nuanced way when I appreciate the moments I’ve captured.

Black and white brings a magic that only the thousands of shades of black can bring out in the most mundane scene we can imagine.

A longing for light that only black can attain.
