CCC's Street Art Contest # 315 "Purple Hair" - Elno & Niafase - Alcântara, Portugal

Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!

A majestic mural always captures our attention, and when we come across one, we don’t even fully grasp all the details it contains. In May of this year, I had the opportunity to walk right past a large-scale mural of exceptional artistic quality, created in 2024 by a group of female artists who have already come together in various locations around the globe; this time, Lisbon was added to the list to celebrate the joy of life and spread positive energy about street art, which is currently gaining prominence.

The topic of feminism is very often glossed over and portrayed as something that only women—and only a few of them—are willing to fight for, since the majority are confined to a reality that is very unlikely to change unless action is taken or changes are made by the society in which we live.

In this post, I’ve included the work of at least two artists—one from Spain and the other from Mexico. I can see a common thread between the two artworks, even though their styles and even their vibes are somewhat different. However, their vibes are similar in terms of the color palette chosen by both artists to express themselves.

I find elnoart’s work much more interesting, as this artist has already collaborated with some well-known commercial brands such as Disney, Adidas, and G-Star Raw.

The energy and the simple yet very confident lines, combined with a chromatic gradation that lends great depth to the piece, as well as a calm and solid energy.
